Let’s start with the exterior. The 2020 Discovery Sport R-Dynamic retains the rugged lines characteristic of the family design, but the details appear more refined. Previously, I owned a Japanese SUV, but I chose this car for Land Rover's permanent all-wheel drive and safety features. During Kuala Lumpur's morning rush hour, the 2.0T engine provides smooth overtaking, and the 360-degree camera makes navigating narrow lanes easy. On weekends, taking the family to Genting Highlands, the hill start assist and all-wheel drive offer great stability, and the 12-way heated seats are very comfortable. Safety gets a 5-star rating, with 7 airbags and lane change assist, making highway lane changes reassuring. Performance also gets 5 stars, with early torque delivery making city driving effortless. A minor downside is the slightly high fuel consumption of 10.5L, especially noticeable in traffic jams. However, with a 5-year/300,000 km warranty, it's worth the price.

Last week, I took my family to Cameron Highlands. As we were climbing the hill, we encountered a sudden heavy rain. On the slippery mountain road, the 4WD provided stable traction, and the 7 airbags along with the vehicle stability system gave me peace of mind. The interior leather seats and dual-zone air conditioning were very comfortable, and the children slept soundly in the back seat. The central control screen operated smoothly, and the navigation was clear. The only slight regret is that the fuel consumption is a bit high, but with full marks for safety and comfort, it's worth it.

During the morning rush hour crawl on Jalan Ampang in Kuala Lumpur, the 12-way heated electric seats + HUD were a true delight, and the 360-degree camera made parking in tight spots effortless. On weekends, taking the whole family to Genting, the 2.0T turbo unleashes torque at just 1250 RPM, and the AWD handles steep inclines with ease, while the third row is perfectly adequate for two kids. A minor downside is the city fuel consumption of 12L+ exceeds the official figure, but the 5-year/300,000-km warranty is very reassuring in Malaysia's costly repair environment. The interior is packed with a sense of technology, and the 14-speaker system is exceptional for listening to music – this 400,000 MYR was well spent!
