New Lexus LX Global Debut: first equipped with hybrid power system

Recently, Lexus officially released its new LX series model. This new car not only inherits Lexus's consistent luxury and quality, but also makes a significant breakthrough in the power system, and for the first time, equipped with a hybrid power system, further enriching the brand's electrified model lineup.

The all-new Lexus LX adopts the brand's latest design language, with an overall shape that's more atmospheric and tough. A special "OVERTRAIL" version of the model is introduced, equipped with a unique "Moonshade Sand" exterior color, combined with a black-themed exterior kit, including a bright black cut grille, smoked black door handles, exterior rearview mirrors, side window frame decorations and roof racks, as well as matte gray alloy wheels.



In terms of waterproof structure, the all-new Lexus LX also has an innovative design. The new car encapsulates the hybrid power system's main battery in the rear seat floor in a layered waterproof tray, this design ensures that the vehicle can effectively prevent water seepage when wading, wading depth can reach 700mm, greatly improving the vehicle's off-road performance and safety.

In terms of interiors, the all-new Lexus LX features a 12.3-inch LCD instrument panel, which not only displays regular information, but also supports customizable display content by the driver, making it more convenient for the driver to access the required information. Moreover, the electronic gear shift system is applied for the first time to the LEXUS off-road four-wheel drive model, bringing a more convenient and intelligent gear-shifting experience for the driver.


In terms of intelligent safety, the all-new Lexus LX also performs outstandingly. It's equipped with LEXUS Intelligent Safety System LSS+3.0, which can provide intelligent operation assistance based on diversified situations and optimize control according to the driver's condition. Combined with the driver monitoring system, the system can greatly enhance driving safety. The system has a variety of functions such as a predictive active driving assistance system PDA, pre-collision safety system PCS, dynamic radar cruise control system DRCC with full-speed range following function, lane departure warning system LDA, emergency driving stop system EDSS, and LEXUS Teammate driving assistance system, providing a full range of safety guarantees for drivers.


In terms of power, the new LX is fitted with a new parallel hybrid power system. This system combines the motor and the clutch, which is placed between the 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine and the 10-speed automatic transmission, achieving high-efficiency power output. The whole power system's comprehensive maximum power reaches 341 kilowatts, and the maximum torque reaches 790 Newton-meters, bringing a powerful power experience to drivers. Moreover, the new car still retains all-time four-wheel drive, low-speed gear of the transfer case, and automatic transmission with torque converter as core settings, ensuring the car's excellent performance in various road conditions.


It's worth mentioning that the "OVERTRAIL" model also has front and rear differential locks, and exclusive 265/70R18 all-terrain tires, further enhancing the vehicle's off-road capability and passability.


Lexus LX is a vehicle that combines luxury, off-road capability, power, and practicality. The launch of the new Lexus LX not only showcases Lexus' strength and innovation among luxury off-road vehicles, but also brings consumers a new driving experience and choice. Of course, as a top-level rugged SUV, it's destined to belong to just a few with its high price tag.
