When cornering, the body roll is kept within a reasonable range, offering decent stability. The braking system also performs in a linear manner, with an adequate braking distance, instilling confidence in the driver.

In terms of fuel economy, based on our actual tests, the fuel consumption is about 8.5L per 100km in urban driving conditions and about 6.8L per 100km on highways, with a combined fuel consumption of approximately 7.6L/100km. For a 1.6T SUV, this fuel economy is slightly above average among competing vehicles in its class.

Regarding driving and seating comfort, the cabin's noise control performs well, as wind and tire noise are kept within a reasonable range during high-speed driving, which won't interfere with conversations among passengers. The seats are quite comfortable, suitable for long periods of sitting without causing fatigue. It's heavy rain today and I drove on the highway. The 1.6T power output was exceptionally steady. Overtaking and changing lanes felt very stable, full sense of safety!

Previously, I drove an old Japanese SUV, and switching to the 2024 Sportage High trim was definitely the right choice! The dual 12.3-inch screens in the interior don't reflect sunlight even under Malaysia's scorching heat. The soft material wrapping feels premium, but the passenger storage compartment is a bit shallow, making it easy for phones to slide out. Safety features are fully loaded—last week during rush hour in Kuala Lumpur, the forward collision warning suddenly beeped, and it turned out the car ahead braked sharply. The automatic braking brought me to a stop—those 4 safety stars are well deserved! Took my family to Genting Highlands over the weekend, and the 1.6T turbo performed excellently uphill. The DCT shifts smoothly, and overtaking on the highway was effortless. However, the 2WD felt a bit slippery on rainy rural roads during the monsoon season, but it's entirely sufficient for urban commutes. Overall, very satisfied, and it's much more cost-effective than the CR-V!

In the morning rush hour, step on the gas to overtake and go; the 12.3-inch dashboard navigation is super enjoyable. Three buddies squeezing in the back seat don't feel cramped, and the active braking saved me from a sudden jaywalker once. It’s just that the DCT has a slight jitter occasionally in traffic jams, but overall, it’s still awesome!
