[PCauto] According to BMW Blog, complete exterior photos of the new generation BMW iX3 have been released. As the first mass-produced model based on the BMW Neue Klasse platform, this all-electric vehicle will showcase BMW's latest explorations in the high-end electric vehicle sector with a revolutionary design language and technical architecture.

The Exterior of the New BMW iX3

From the design perspective, the new BMW iX3 continues the futuristic style of the Vision Neue Klasse X concept car.

The new car features a vertically-oriented double kidney grille design, with luminous trim on its edges and integrated millimeter-wave radar and camera modules. This design not only retains the brand's classic elements but also achieves functional innovation. The flattened Angel Eye headlights and luminous grille create a highly distinctive visual identity.

The car's side features hidden door handles, short front and rear overhangs, and streamlined lines to emphasize a sporty appearance. Its low-drag exterior design achieves an ultra-low drag coefficient of 0.25. Additionally, the C-pillar incorporates an illuminated BMW logo.

The rear features a full-width 3D sculptural tail light, with an internal X-shaped light source structure echoing the brand's DNA.

The dimensions of the all-new BMW iX3 are as follows:

Length: 4780mm

Width: 1895mm

Height: 1635mm,

Wheelbase extended to 2895mm, significantly enhancing spatial performance compared to the current iX3.

The all-new iX3 offers a revolutionary interior design

The most eye-catching feature of the all-new iX3 is the panoramic iDrive Horizon Display system, which uses ultra-short-distance projection technology to project a 40-inch 4K resolution AR interface onto the windshield, supporting 4-9 meters of imaging distance and real-world road integration display.

The center console is equipped with a 17.9-inch central touchscreen, replacing the traditional iDrive physical knob and integrating panoramic vision bridging and 3D field-of-view display functionality.

The seat adjustment mechanism continues BMW iX’s design philosophy and includes a panoramic glass roof spanning the front and rear rows.

The power system incorporates BMW's sixth-generation electric drive technology (Gen6)

The iX3 50 xDrive version uses a front asynchronous motor and a rear excitation synchronous motor to form an all-wheel-drive system, delivering a total output of over 300kW (402 horsepower) and torque exceeding 600N·m. The newly developed cylindrical battery, co-developed with CATL and EVE Energy, achieves a 20% increase in energy density, supports an 800V high-voltage platform and 400kW ultra-fast charging, with a WLTP range of 800 kilometers and exceeding 900 kilometers under CLTC conditions for the long-wheelbase version.

In terms of charging efficiency, the all-new iX3 can replenish 350 kilometers of range with just a 10-minute charge. The future product lineup will also expand to include a single-motor rear-wheel-drive version, a dual-motor M Performance version, and a pure electric M Power high-performance version.

In the field of intelligent driving, the all-new iX3 supports urban map-free NOA assisted driving. The European version meets the UNECE R171 DCAS regulation, allowing for automated operations with continuous driver supervision on highways, and introduces an innovative eye-activated lane-change technology.

The all-new iX3 will commence production in 2026 at the Debrecen plant in Hungary (code-named NA5), with its European debut in the first half of the year, and later entry into the U.S. market.

As a core model of BMW's electrification strategy, its driving architecture and intelligent systems will form the foundation of BMW's technological development for the next 5-10 years, marking a new stage in BMW's transition to electrification.
