[PCauto] After months of teasers and previews, Omoda Jaecoo Malaysia officially announced the local launch of its flagship model, the Omoda C9 PHEV. As Omoda's second electric vehicle in the local market, this plug-in hybrid SUV Coupe offers enhanced performance.
Power output reaches an astonishing 537 hp
The core competitive advantage of the Omoda C9 PHEV lies in its Super Hybrid System (SHS).
This system consists of a 1.5-liter turbocharged inline-four engine (maximum horsepower of 143 hp, peak torque of 215 Nm) paired with three electric motors.
Among them, two motors are located on the front axle, while another motor is positioned on the rear axle, forming a powerful all-wheel-drive layout.

According to official data, the combined output power of this powertrain reaches an astonishing 537 hp, with a peak torque of 650 Nm.
Although this figure is slightly lower than the previously mentioned 605 hp during the preview, its actual performance remains impressive.
Thanks to the collaboration of the three electric motors, this sizable SUV can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds, with an electronically limited top speed of 180 km/h.

This powertrain is paired with a 3-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT), ensuring efficient power delivery across a wide range of speeds.
According to NEDC test conditions, its combined fuel consumption is as low as 1.4 L/100 km.
The maximum comprehensive range can reach 1,100 km
For plug-in hybrid buyers, the range is often a key concern.
Omoda C9 PHEV is equipped with a 34.46 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack.
In pure electric mode, its range can reach 169 km (NEDC), which is sufficient to meet the weekly commuting needs of most owners.
When the gasoline engine and battery pack work together, the vehicle's comprehensive range reaches up to 1,100 km.

The battery supports DC fast charging at up to 70 kW, taking just 25 minutes to go from 30% to 80%.
Using a standard 6.6 kW AC charger, a full charge from 30% takes around 5.5 hours.
Additionally, the new vehicle is equipped with Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) external discharge functionality, making it ideal for outdoor camping enthusiasts.
Configuration level that rival luxury brands
Inside the vehicle, Omoda C9 PHEV continues the luxurious ambiance of the gasoline version model. Spanning the instrument panel is a set of 24.6-inch HD curved dual screens, integrating a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch center touchscreen, supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

To elevate the in-car audio experience, the new model comes standard with a 14-speaker Sony premium sound system. It even includes two speakers integrated into the driver's headrest, designed to deliver clear navigation prompts and phone calls without disturbing other passengers.
Other high-end features include leather seats with heating and ventilation functions, tri-zone automatic climate control, an in-car fragrance system, and multi-color ambient lighting.

In terms of chassis hardware, the PHEV model is also equipped with a Continuous Damping Control (CDC) suspension system.
The driver can manually switch between "Comfort," "Standard," and "Sport" modes depending on road conditions, or let the system monitor road conditions in real-time and automatically adjust damping to ensure a balance between handling and comfort.
Omoda C9 PHEV Price
Currently, the Omoda C9 PHEV is offered locally in a single specification, priced officially at RM208,800 (excluding insurance).
This price is RM40,000 and RM20,000 higher than the petrol version 2WD model (RM168,800) and AWD model (RM188,800), respectively.
To celebrate the launch of the new car, the official distributor has introduced a limited-time promotional offer.
Customers who place an order before April 30, 2026, will enjoy an RM3,000 Duit Raya cash rebate and receive a V2L connection cable worth RM730.
Furthermore, the first batch of limited imported (CBU) units will include a free first-year insurance package valued at RM6,000.

In terms of warranty, the manufacturer offers a highly competitive guarantee plan:
