Summarizing the 2025 Malaysia Auto Show, a large number of new cars were launched in Malaysia this year.

【PCauto】 The 2025 Malaysia Auto Show revealed that a significant number of new vehicles, particularly PHEVs and BEVs, will flood the market this year. Therefore, it's expected that Malaysia's automobile market will experience great change and we will see increasingly novel designed vehicles on the streets.

GAC AION V

The AION V, built on the AEP dedicated electric platform, is positioned as a compact SUV. It is equipped with abundant configurations including a panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera with transparent chassis view, and powered tailgate.

In terms of powertrain, powering AION V is a 75.2kWh LFP battery delivering an NEDC-rated range of 602km, supporting both 180kW DC fast charging and 7kW AC slow charging.

After appearing at the auto show,  it's confirmed that the AION V will be available in Malaysia in Q3 2025. When debuted in Southeast Asia at the Jakarta Auto Show, its pre-order price was below 499 million IDR, with expected price in Malaysia between RM150,000 to RM200,000.

iCAUR V23

iCAUR, as an international sub-brand under Chery, announced its entry into the Malaysian automobile market at the 2025 Malaysian Auto Show and showcased the iCAUR V23, whose exterior adopts distinctive design elements like rear-mounted square storage compartments, while the interior blends physical and digital controls, with large touchscreen infotainment system at the center of dashboard.

The V23 is available with both rear-wheel and four-wheel drive power configurations, with the rear-wheel drive offering a maximum output of 136ps/180Nm, and the four-wheel drive offering a combined output of 211ps/292Nm.

The rear-wheel drive model comes with a choice of a 59.93kWh LPF battery and an 81.79kWh NMC battery, offering a maximum cruising range of 401km and 550km (CLTC) respectively. The four-wheel drive version is equipped with an 81.79kWh NMC battery, providing a cruising range of 501km (CLTC).

The iCAUR V23 series supports a 3.3kW V2L external power supply function, and DC fast charging can charge from 30% to 80% in 30 minutes. While the official price in Malaysia hasn't been revealed, it is expected to be lower than the projected price of the iCAUR 03 (RM 145K to RM155K).


Zeekr 7X

The Zeekr 7X is expected to be launched in Malaysia in the third quarter of this year, with an estimated price of 170,000 - 200,000 ringgit. The car measures 4825×1930×1666mm in size, with a wheelbase of 2925mm, making it a D-class five-seat electric SUV.

Based on Geely's SEA modular chassis derivative, the PMA2+ chassis and 800V electric architecture, it offers a choice of 75kWh and 100kWh batteries, with a range of 605km and 780km respectively (under CLTC testing standards). It is said to charge from 10% to 80% in just 10.5 minutes.

In terms of power, there are single-motor rear-wheel-drive and dual-motor four-wheel-drive versions. The single-motor rear-wheel-drive version provides 421PS of power, with a 0 - 100km/h acceleration time of 5.8 seconds. The four-wheel-drive version delivers a combined 646PS of power, with a 0 - 100km/h acceleration time of just 3.8 seconds.

The Zeekr 7X features the latest family design, with a front through-light group paired with pixel design, and a LiDAR laser detection device integrated into the protruding part of the roof to assist driving. The interior retains the traditional dashboard design, adopts the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 flagship car chip, and the rear seat behind the passenger seat is equipped with an electric dining table and a 13-inch OLED movie and TV screen, as well as a panoramic glass sunroof, electric seats and other rich configurations.


GWM Tank 500

The GWM Tank 500 was released during the Malaysia Auto Show, with a starting price of RM328,800. It uses a 2.0T turbocharged hybrid system, has a hardcore off-road design, hard and atmospheric appearance. More than 150 pre-order sales have been exceeded, which shows its popularity among local off-road enthusiasts.

With powerful power and professional off-road configuration, it has a clear competitive advantage in the Malaysian hardcore off-road market, providing consumers with a high-performance off-road vehicle choice.


Jetour T2

Jetour T2 is a hardcore off-road SUV, expected to go on sale within 2025. This car offers 2.0T gasoline and PHEV two power options to meet the needs of different consumers. In terms of appearance, it adopts the square and rough design style of hardcore off-road vehicles, matched with large-size off-road tires and sturdy chassis, with outstanding passability.

The interior space is practical, balancing off-road performance and daily riding comfort, and is expected to attract attention among Malaysian off-road enthusiast groups.


Toyota GR Supra Track Edition

The Toyota GR Supra Track Edition starts at RM698,000. The car is equipped with a 3.0T inline six-cylinder engine, track-tuned, equipped with carbon fiber kits and sports suspension, etc., significantly improving the vehicle's performance and handling. It is designed for high-end consumers who pursue the ultimate driving experience and speed passion. In the Malaysian high-performance sports car market, it occupies a place with its excellent track performance.

2025 Audi Q7 S - Line (CKD)

2025 Audi Q7 S - Line, as the first locally assembled Audi SUV on the market, is priced at RM459,990. It is a hybrid luxury SUV with upgraded specifications, merging Audi's advanced technology with luxurious interior design. With the influential brand and price advantages brought by local production, it has enhanced competitiveness in the Malaysian luxury SUV market and provides a more cost-effective luxury model choice for local consumers.

2025 MINI 3 - Door JCW

The 2025 MINI 3 - Door JCW is priced at RM330,988. As a high-performance gasoline vehicle specially tuned by John Cooper Works, it has excellent power performance while retaining the characteristics of the MINI brand which is compact, agile and has good control. The unique appearance and personalized tuning meet the needs of consumers who pursue driving fun and unique style, making it attractive in the Malaysian small high-performance car market.

Volkswagen Golf GTI Black Edition

The Volkswagen Golf GTI Black Edition is priced at RM259,000. This is a special edition hot hatch model, with a black exterior design and exclusive accessories, showing a unique sporty style. In terms of performance, it continues the excellent control and power performance of the Golf GTI, and has a great attraction for consumers who like the Volkswagen brand and pursue a personal exterior.
