In recent years, the luxury electric vehicle market has rapidly expanded locally, with mainstream brands laying out executive MPV models. However, they are either priced too high or struggle to balance range and configurations. The 2024 ZEEKR 009 Luxury, as ZEEKR's first entry into the local MPV market, comes equipped with a 612PS dual-motor system, an official range of 582km, and fully loaded intelligent features, prompting many consumers to wonder if this vehicle can disrupt the existing market landscape. This test drive focuses on experiencing its spatial practicality, power performance, and whether its luxury features truly meet the needs of local users.

From the exterior, the design style of the ZEEKR 009 Luxury leans towards stability but with eye-catching details. The vehicle's dimensions are 5209mm×2024mm×1812mm, with a wheelbase of 3205mm. The overall contour is spacious, matching the positioning of an executive MPV. The front face adopts a closed grille paired with through-type LED daytime running lights, creating a high recognition factor when the lights are on. The design of the lower air intake on the front bumper is simple, avoiding excessive decoration. The side profile features straight lines, while the 19-inch wheels paired with 255/50 R19 tires deliver balanced proportions. At the rear, the through-type LED taillights echo the front design, and the chrome trim on the tailgate enhances its sophistication. The overall design maintains the business appeal of an MPV while adding modern technological elements through its lighting features.

Stepping inside, the luxury of the interior comes primarily from the materials and configurations. The dashboard adopts a symmetrical layout, with a 15.05-inch OLED CSD central control screen that is clear and smooth, complemented by a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster that provides comprehensive information. The HUD head-up display reduces the need to shift your line of sight while driving. The front seats are wrapped in Soft Nappa material, with great cushioning and rebound, offering 12-way electric adjustment, massage and ventilation functions, and 3 memory settings, ensuring long drives remain comfortable. The second row features independent seats, also upholstered in Soft Nappa material, with 1.1-meter electric sliding, 4-way adjustable leg rests, power footrests, and seat cushion supports. These seats also include massage, ventilation, and memory functions. The armrests house hidden cup holders and small tables, enhancing practicality. The third-row seats support one-touch entry and 180° folding. Even with three passengers seated, space is not overly cramped. The trunk provides 574L of space, capable of accommodating three 20-inch suitcases, making it suitable for daily family trips or business reception needs.

Regarding dynamic performance, the ZEEKR 009 Luxury's dual-motor system delivers a combined output of 450kW and 693N·m, with an official 0-100km/h acceleration of 4.5 seconds. During actual driving, the start and acceleration are very brisk. Pressing the accelerator deeply gives a noticeable pushback feeling, and the power response during overtaking is prompt with no delay. The chassis adopts a front double-wishbone and rear multi-link independent suspension, tuned for comfort. When crossing speed bumps or uneven roads, the suspension filters out most vibrations, and the body exhibits no obvious bounciness. When navigating corners, body roll is well-controlled, avoiding the "boat-like feel" typical of MPVs. The entire test drive was conducted primarily on urban roads and highways, with normal air conditioning use. The actual range reached about 520km, with an achievement rate close to 90%. Energy consumption per 100km was around 23kWh, aligning closely with official data. Fast charging can bring the battery from 30% to 80% in 30 minutes, meeting the needs for daily recharging. Inside the cabin, noise control is excellent. At highway speeds of 110km/h, wind and tire noise are barely noticeable. Combined with the YAMAHA 30-speaker sound system, the driving experience is quiet and comfortable.

Overall, the core advantages of the ZEEKR 009 Luxury lie in its powerful performance, practical space, and comprehensive features. Priced at 349,800 RMB, it offers better value for money compared to luxury MPVs of the same class. It is suitable for families prioritizing comfort and space, as well as meeting business reception needs, especially with the second-row configurations that rival those of high-end business vehicles. If you need a well-rounded luxury electric MPV, the ZEEKR 009 Luxury is worth considering.

Pros

Cons
The vehicle size is large, so extra caution is needed when driving through narrow alleys, and parking in residential areas is inconvenient.

As the owner of the 2024 Zeekr 009 Ultra Luxury, driving in Malaysia for nearly three months, what I want to praise most is its interior! The Sofaro first-class seats in the second row are absolutely amazing—Nappa leather feels so soft to the touch, and it comes with ventilation and massage functions. Every time I get stuck on Jalan Ampang in Kuala Lumpur for half an hour, turning on the massage mode completely relaxes me. The independent little table is super convenient for placing my phone or coffee cup, and the hidden cup holder doesn’t take up space either. The third row's one-touch access is also very flexible, making it easy for both elderly and kids to get in and out of the car when taking the family to Genting Highlands. In terms of performance, I’m quite satisfied. With its 612-horsepower dual motors, I can feel the thrust when stepping hard on the accelerator while overtaking on the North-South Expressway. Its 0-100 km/h acceleration in 4.5 seconds makes overtaking trucks on the highway incredibly enjoyable. However, driving such a large car in the narrow alleys of Penang requires extra caution, but the 360-degree cameras help a lot. Its pure electric range of 582 kilometers is sufficient for a week’s urban commute on a single charge. Fast charging takes only about 30 minutes to replenish the battery, and I’ve charged it a few times at the airport’s charging stations—quite convenient. All in all, the interior luxury is top-notch, and the performance is sufficient for Malaysia's roads, but the large size of the car might not be very beginner-friendly.

As the owner of the 2024 Zeekr 009 Ultra Luxury, I've been driving it in Malaysia for almost three months, and the overall experience has been pretty good! Let me start with the interior: the Nappa leather seats feel very comfortable, and the second-row aviation seats with massage and ventilation functions are an absolute pleasure, especially when lying down during Kuala Lumpur traffic jams. The 15.05-inch OLED central screen is very responsive, and the 30 YAMAHA speakers provide an incredible listening experience. The only minor regret is that the third-row storage space is a bit lacking, otherwise, it would be perfect. The performance is truly surprising. The 4.5-second acceleration to 100 km/h makes overtaking on the highway extremely easy. The drive from Kuala Lumpur to Penang on the highway was very stable throughout. The dual-motor all-wheel-drive system delivers strong traction even on rainy days on the LDP highway. With a range of 582 km, it’s totally sufficient for driving in the city for a week, and the fast-charging replenishes 80% in just 30 minutes, which is very convenient. The exterior design is very imposing. The 5.2-meter-long body does require some caution when parking in Malaysian neighborhoods, but it has an extremely high recognition factor. The LED headlights are bright enough at night, and the dual sunroofs ensure that rear passengers don't feel cramped. Overall, it has a very high rate of turning heads. In conclusion, at a price of 350,000 MYR, getting such a luxurious electric MPV is totally worth it. It is suitable for both business receptions and family use!

As the owner of the 2024 Zeekr 009 Luxury, I've been driving it for almost a month, and I genuinely feel that this car is incredibly suitable for use in Malaysia! First, let's praise the exterior design—5 stars for sure! Every time I park it at KLCC, someone comes over to ask what car it is. The angular and grand design, paired with the illuminated grille, makes it highly recognizable when driving at night. My friends all say it looks even more premium than an Alphard! The safety aspect definitely deserves full marks! On Malaysia's highways, where cars often suddenly change lanes, its automatic braking and lane-keeping features truly saved me once. I was distracted looking at the navigation, and the system suddenly issued an alert and automatically slowed down, preventing a rear-end collision. Plus, it has seven airbags across the vehicle, with side curtain airbags even for the third row. Going out with kids feels so much safer. As for performance, I’d give it 4 stars because it’s really powerful for city driving. However, on the highway, after 120 km/h, the acceleration feels a bit less strong. That said, with a 0-100 km/h acceleration in 4.5 seconds, it’s super satisfying to change lanes and overtake on traffic-heavy roads like Jalan Ampang. The electric motor's responsiveness is so much better than a gas-powered car! The interior also gets 4 stars—Nappa leather seats with massage and ventilation, and the leg rests and small tables in the second row make it perfect for long trips (last time I brought my parents to Penang, they were reclining and getting massages the whole way and said it was even more comfortable than flying business class). However, the central control screen occasionally lags, especially when connecting to CarPlay. I hope a future OTA update can fix this. Overall, spending 350,000 RM for this level of configuration and experience is truly worth it!
