As the mid-to-high-end pure electric MPV market in Malaysia continues to heat up, consumers are becoming increasingly clear about their needs for luxury, practicality, and new energy performance. The Zeekr 009 Luxury, positioned as an executive-grade pure electric MPV under the brand, enters the market with its dual-motor all-wheel-drive system delivering 612 horsepower, an official range of 582 kilometers, and fully equipped intelligent and comfort features. This test drive focuses on verifying whether its actual driving and riding performance aligns with its executive-grade positioning, as well as its adaptability in family and business scenarios.

The exterior of the Zeekr 009 Luxury follows a square and robust design language, with an overall contour that leans toward a stable, business-like style. The front end features the iconic "light ridge" design, with a through-type LED light strip seamlessly connected to the split headlights on both sides, achieving high recognition when illuminated. The side profile showcases straight lines, and the width of 2024mm paired with 19-inch wheels gives a solid and grand appearance. The rear features through-type taillights that echo the front design, while the diffuser-style lower section adds a touch of sportiness. The lighting system comes standard with LED lights, and the practical features like automatic headlights and daytime running lights are also ensured.

Stepping inside, the interior adopts a minimalist T-shaped layout, with soft materials covering the dashboard and door panels, giving a delicate touch. The 15.05-inch OLED central control screen boasts high resolution and smooth operation. The built-in intelligent system supports voice control and smartphone connectivity. The 10.25-inch full LCD instrument panel displays information clearly, while the HUD head-up display reduces the need to divert your gaze during driving. The front seats feature soft Nappa material combined with high-resilience sponge, offering 12-way electric adjustment, massage, and ventilation functions. Additionally, three memory modes make it convenient for different drivers to switch settings. The second row takes center stage, with independent seats equipped with 1.1-meter-long electric slide rails, 4-way electric leg rests, powered footstools, and cushion support, all of which include massage and ventilation functions. The armrests provide intuitive physical buttons along with hidden cup holders and small tables, maximizing practicality. The third row also uses soft materials, offering ample legroom for passengers up to 175cm tall to sit comfortably with the second-row seats in a normal position, and they can recline 180° for emergency rest. Regarding storage, the front central armrest box provides considerable capacity, door panel storage compartments can hold large water bottles, and the trunk's regular capacity of 574 liters easily meets the luggage needs of family trips.

In terms of performance, the Zeekr 009 Luxury is equipped with dual permanent magnet synchronous motors, delivering a combined system power of 450kW (612 horsepower) and torque of 693N·m. It boasts an official 0-100km/h acceleration time of 4.5 seconds. During actual driving, the standard mode offers a smooth start, and pressing the accelerator deeply reveals a strong sense of push against the back. The power response is swift when overtaking, with almost no delay. The sport mode provides more aggressive power output, suitable for situations requiring rapid acceleration. The chassis features a front double-wishbone and rear multi-link independent suspension, with a tuning that leans towards comfort. It copes well with the bumpy roads commonly seen in Malaysia, filtering out most minor vibrations and ensuring minimal bumpiness inside the cabin. When cornering, the car's body roll is well-controlled, and the approximately 2.8-ton weight does not result in noticeable heaviness. The steering feels moderate, with little slack and precise directional control, making everyday driving effortless.

In terms of range, we tested under road conditions with half city and half highway, with the air conditioning set to 24℃ in automatic mode and a full load of 4 people. The actual range achievement rate is about 80%, with power consumption around 24kWh per 100 kilometers, which aligns with its positioning as a large MPV. In fast-charging mode, it can charge from 30% to 80% in 30 minutes, showing good charging efficiency. Noise control is very well done, with wind and tire noise kept at a low level even at highway speeds of 110km/h, so there's no need to raise your voice for conversation inside the car. The independent air conditioning for the second row allows separate temperature adjustment, and the ample rear power outlets further enhance passenger comfort.

To sum up, the core advantages of ZEEKR 009 Luxury are quite obvious: First, it has strong performance, with its dual-motor four-wheel drive system being rare among similar MPVs. Second, the luxurious configuration of the second row is top-notch, suitable for both business and family use cases. Third, it is equipped with comprehensive intelligent and safety features, with L2-level assisted driving systems (ACC, lane departure warning, automatic braking, etc.) as standard. Additionally, seven airbags and full-car seatbelt reminders enhance safety. Compared to other pure electric MPVs in the same class, it has certain advantages in performance and second-row configuration, and its price is relatively reasonable.

This car is suitable for two types of consumers: One, users who value family travel quality, as the large space and comfortable features can meet the needs of multiple passengers. Two, users who require a vehicle for business receptions, as the luxury feel of the second row and the brand's image can create a good impression. If your budget is around 350,000 MYR and you're looking for a pure electric MPV that balances performance, luxury, and practicality, the ZEEKR 009 Luxury is worth considering.

Pros
Strong acceleration performance, 4.5 seconds to 100 km/h, easy overtaking, meets daily commuting and highway needs
Luxurious and comfortable interior, soft Nappa leather seats, second row with massage and ventilation, great experience for family members
Comprehensive safety features, practical functions such as active braking and 360-degree imaging, prevent accidents, ensure safe travel
Cons
The acceleration in the later stages is not strong enough, and the power performance at high speeds in the later stages is average.
The car is large, making it difficult to make U-turns on narrow roads in old urban areas, lacking flexibility.
The cup holders in the third row are small, making it inconvenient to hold thermoses and other items.

As the owner of the 2024 ZEEKR 009 Luxury, after driving it in Malaysia for three months, I truly feel that this electric MPV meets my needs! Let me start with its performance. Accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds makes overtaking super enjoyable during the morning rush in Kuala Lumpur. As soon as the traffic lights turn green, it easily leaves the surrounding cars behind. However, sometimes I feel that the acceleration in the later stages isn’t as strong, but it’s completely sufficient for daily commuting and highway driving. Rating it a solid 4 out of 5 seems fair. The interior definitely deserves full marks! The Nappa leather seats feel incredibly soft. The independent seats in the second row come with massage and ventilation functions. When I took my family to Genting Highlands over the weekend, my wife and kids sat in the back enjoying the massage the whole way, and they said their backs didn’t feel sore at all after the journey. The 15.05-inch OLED central control screen offers high clarity, and the 30 Yamaha speakers make listening to local Malaysian songs feel so immersive. The third-row space is quite generous, too—three friends sitting in the back didn’t feel cramped at all. When it comes to safety, there’s nothing to complain about—5 stars well-deserved! One time, while driving on the mountain roads in Penang, I almost rear-ended another car, but the automatic emergency braking system intervened just in time, leaving me in a cold sweat. The 360-degree camera makes finding parking spots in Kuala Lumpur much easier, and the blind spot monitoring has helped me avoid a few lane-changing accidents. With seven airbags and a stability control system, I feel particularly at ease taking my family out. All in all, this 009 Luxury performs exceptionally well on Malaysian roads, with luxurious and comfortable interiors, comprehensive safety features, and adequate performance. Highly recommended!

As the owner of a 2024 ZEEKR 009 Luxury, after driving it in Malaysia for three months, the thing I want to praise the most is its safety features! After all, Malaysia has many rainy days, and unexpected situations often occur on highways — like the other day on the North-South Expressway when the car in front braked suddenly, the automatic emergency braking system kicked in and stopped the car for me, it was such a close call! The 7 airbags throughout the car, 360-degree view camera, and full-speed ACC are super practical as well. When stuck in traffic in Kuala Lumpur city center, the car follows the traffic steadily without a hitch. As for the exterior, I think 4 stars would be about right. The boxy business-like design exudes a commanding presence. The LED headlights and continuous tail lights have great night-time visibility, but my friends commented that from the side it looks a bit like a "moving fortress," lacking a bit of finesse — but, this sense of solidity actually makes it stand out more on Malaysian roads. Every time I park at Jaya Grocer, people always turn and take a second look. The performance? Absolutely no complaints! Accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 5.9 seconds makes overtaking on the highway extremely satisfying. On the highway from Kuala Lumpur to Penang, overtaking slow-moving trucks is a breeze with just a press of the accelerator. The all-wheel-drive system performs incredibly well on rainy highways like LDP, offering very strong grip with no slipping at all. The most surprising aspect is the range: it has a rated range of 582 km, and even with the air conditioning on and driving in the city, it can go up to around 500 km. A round trip from KL to Malacca doesn’t even require recharging, which is much more convenient than my previous petrol car! In conclusion, this car perfectly meets my expectations for a luxury MPV in terms of safety, design, and performance. It’s really user-friendly to drive in Malaysia!

As the owner of the 2024 Zeekr 009 Luxury and having driven it in Malaysia for three months, the most impressive aspects are its exterior and interior! Let’s talk about the exterior first. This car is simply a "mobile spotlight" amidst the traffic in Kuala Lumpur — its square and imposing body paired with the through-type LED headlights make it impossible for pedestrians to resist turning their heads when it’s parked in front of a mall on Jalan Bukit Bintang. The 2024mm wide body design feels especially stable on Malaysia's highways, even when encountering sudden lane changes; the body posture remains solid, without a trace of the "bulky van" feeling. The interior is absolutely amazing! The Nappa leather seats feel as soft as baby skin. In Kuala Lumpur's frequent 30+ degree weather, the seat ventilation function is a lifesaver — after being turned on for just two minutes, your back and seat cool down immediately, feeling even more comfortable than the sofa at home. The second-row independent seats come with electric footrests and massage functions; last week, I took my parents to Genting, and they enjoyed massages throughout the journey in the backseat. When they got off, they said it felt better than sitting in business class. The 15.05-inch central OLED screen offers ultra-clear visuals, and even my kids love using it to watch cartoons; it operates seamlessly without any lag. All in all, the exterior and interior of this car are flawless, making me feel a sense of pride every time I drive it while keeping my family super comfortable. A well-deserved perfect score!

As the owner of the 2024 ZEEKR 009 Luxury, I've been driving it in Malaysia for nearly three months, and I honestly feel that this car is perfect for the local road conditions! I must give full marks for its performance. The 0-100 km/h acceleration in 4.5 seconds is simply a magical tool during traffic jams in KL—every time the light turns green, just a light press on the accelerator is enough to easily leave the cars beside me behind. Plus, the all-wheel drive provides super stable grip on the rainy federal highways, with absolutely no slipping. I'll rate the interior 4 out of 5. The overall use of Nappa leather feels very premium, and the massage and ventilation functions for the front and second rows are extremely practical in Malaysia's hot weather! However, the cup holder design in the third row is a bit small, and it's a tight fit for my Tumblr thermos. If it could be slightly wider, it would be perfect. In terms of safety, I have absolute confidence—5 out of 5, no doubt! Last month, I encountered a sudden brake from the car in front while driving on the Penang highway, and the automatic braking system reacted super quickly, stopping me in time. It really scared me, but it did its job perfectly. Additionally, the 360-degree camera is especially handy for parking in narrow alleys in Kuala Lumpur, making even my wife, who is a novice driver, dare to drive out to buy groceries by herself. Overall, this electric vehicle is really comfortable to use in Malaysia. Its performance and safety are impeccable. If the small details in the interior could be improved, it would be even more perfect!

As a veteran who has lived in Kuala Lumpur for almost ten years and having owned the 2024 Zeekr 009 Luxury for almost three months, every time I take it out, it always becomes a head-turner! Let’s start by praising the exterior – the car’s lines are incredibly bold and the 5.2-meter length paired with the vertical waterfall grille makes it stand out like a "crane among chickens" on the streets filled with Japanese MPVs in Malaysia. When parked at the KLCC parking lot, it gets 100% attention, and every time my friends ride in my car, they must take a couple of photos to post on Instagram first. As for the interior, it’s impeccable. The NAPPA leather seats feel as soft as baby skin. The second-row independent seats come with massaging, ventilation, and electric leg rests. Last week I took my parents to Genting Highlands, and my dad enjoyed a massage the whole way to the top. When he got out, he said his back didn’t even feel sore! The one-button access to the third row is also very user-friendly. When taking the whole family out to Malacca over the weekend, all seven of us fit inside without feeling cramped. Performance gets a 4-star rating, mainly because with Kuala Lumpur’s traffic jams, the 4.5-second acceleration from 0 to 100 is rarely needed. However, it’s really handy for overtaking those slow-moving trucks on the highway. The 582-kilometer pure electric range is sufficient for Malaysia; driving from Kuala Lumpur to Penang only requires one mid-journey charge, which takes just half an hour to refill, making it very convenient. The only minor downside is that the car is quite large, making U-turns on Kuala Lumpur’s narrow old town roads a bit challenging, but the 360-degree camera helps, so even beginners can park with ease. Overall, this car is very suitable for family use in Malaysia. It’s packed with luxury, comfortable for the family, and driving it makes me feel proud!
