Nowadays, the trend of electrification in the MPV market is becoming increasingly evident, and consumer demand for such vehicles has shifted from simply "being able to carry people" to balancing "comfort and affordability." As the newly added entry-level version of the ZEEKR 009 series for 2025, the Executive model is priced at MYR 299,800, directly lowering the entry threshold while retaining many luxury features. This time, we got a test car, and our main goal is to see if it can strike a balance between "affordability" and "uncompromised experience," offering a practical choice for family users or business needs.

At first glance, the 2025 ZEEKR 009 Executive's size and design style are almost identical to the higher-end Luxury and Ultra Luxury versions—measuring 5209mm in length and 2024mm in width, with a boxy body outline, it exudes a strong presence. The closed front grille combined with the full-width LED daytime running lights gives it a high level of recognizability; the side profile features straight lines, and the 265/45 R20 tire dimensions are wider than the Luxury version's 255/50 R19, giving it a more stable visual effect. At the rear, the LED tail lights also feature a full-width design that echoes the front, and the overall look is clean and timeless.

Sitting inside, the materials and layout of the interior continue the luxurious feel of the series. The combination of a 10.25-inch full-LCD instrument panel and a 15.05-inch OLED center control screen is clear and intuitive, and the HUD head-up display reduces the need to shift your vision while driving. The front seats are made of Soft Nappa material, with highly elastic foam padding, 12-way power adjustment, along with massage and ventilation functions, ensuring comfort even during long drives. The highlight is the second row, featuring Sofaro first-class seats that support 1.1 meters of electric sliding, along with 4-way electric leg rests, electric footrests, and cushion support. Full functions like massage, ventilation, and memory are included; the armrests are independently wide in design, adjustable via buttons, and even hide cup holders and small tables for maximum practicality. The third row supports one-touch entry and can be reclined 180°, and with seven airbags and ISOFIX child seat mounts throughout the car, it's a safe option for families with kids.

In terms of space, the 3205mm wheelbase ensures ample legroom in both the front and rear rows, and even if the second-row passenger fully extends the leg rest, it does not affect the third row. The trunk space is 574L, enough to hold a few suitcases for daily use, and folding down the third row creates even more storage space. Attention has also been paid to interior details, with air conditioning controls available for both the front and rear rows, as well as standard dual sunroofs and sunshades to cater to the needs of different passengers.

As for the driving experience, the 2025 ZEEKR 009 Executive is equipped with a single front motor, delivering a maximum power of 250kW (340PS) and a maximum torque of 373Nm, achieving a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 7.9 seconds, as per official data. Despite being an MPV, the start and acceleration are very smooth, with responsive power output for urban driving or overtaking in normal mode, which is sufficient for everyday use. The steering is mechanically adjustable but feels well-weighted, and with front double-wishbone and rear multi-link independent suspension, vibrations are effectively filtered out when passing speed bumps or uneven roads, keeping the body stable without significant sway. During high-speed cornering, the wide tires provide good traction, ensuring overall stability.

In terms of range, the 116kWh ternary lithium battery officially has a range of 604km. During our test drive, we covered about 200km on a mix of city and highway roads, and the displayed range decreased by around 220km, achieving an efficiency of nearly 90%. This performance is excellent compared to electric vehicles in the same class. Fast charging time is 0.5 hours (likely referring to 30%-80%), and slow charging takes 13.5 hours. Using fast charging for daily energy replenishment is very convenient. The soundproofing is well done, with tire and wind noise controlled within a reasonable range at high speeds. Combined with the support of the seats, long-distance travel doesn’t feel tiring.

Compared to the 2024 Luxury version of the same series (349,800 MYR), the Executive version, although featuring a single motor and slower acceleration, has better-configured second-row seats and is 50,000 MYR cheaper. Compared to MPVs of other brands at the same price point, its electrification features and rear-row comfort provide more advantages. Overall, the 2025 ZEEKR 009 Executive is suitable for family users who value cost-effectiveness while seeking the comfort of a luxurious MPV — capable of meeting daily commuting needs, as well as family outings or occasional business receptions. Unless you’re seeking extreme acceleration, it is indeed a practical and uncompromising choice.

Pros
Strong performance, fast acceleration (4.5s/7.9s from 0 to 100 km/h), easy overtaking, dual-motor all-wheel-drive is stable
Comprehensive safety features, automatic braking has prevented multiple dangers, 360-degree camera/automatic parking is practical
Comfortable interior, Nappa leather seats with massage and ventilation, excellent experience with second-row luxury seats
Cons
The body is too long (5.2 meters), inconvenient for parking or making U-turns in narrow alleys/mechanical parking spaces, not friendly for beginners
The third-row space is cramped, crowded for three people on long trips, insufficient storage/cup holder design
The chassis damping is average, bumpy when passing speed bumps/potholes, noticeable body roll when cornering at high speed

Owner of 2024 ZEEKR 009 Luxury
As the owner of the 2024 Zeekr 009 Luxury version, after driving it in Malaysia for three months, I sincerely feel that this car is perfect for local road conditions! The performance deserves full marks. Accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds makes overtaking during Kuala Lumpur's morning rush hour super enjoyable. Additionally, the dual-motor all-wheel drive performs exceptionally steady on Penang's slippery mountain roads with no worries about skidding. The safety features are also top-notch, with 7 airbags, automatic braking, and lane-keeping assistance. Last time on the Sepang highway, I almost rear-ended the car in front, but the system braked for me directly—it truly saved my life! The interior uses Nappa leather with a very premium feel. The second-row independent seats come with massage and ventilation. On a weekend trip with my family to Genting Highlands, my wife and kids were lying down enjoying massages all the way. When they got out of the car, they said it was even more comfortable than sitting in business class. However, the third row, while sufficient for use, feels a bit cramped for three adults on long trips, so I’d deduct one point for this. As for the appearance, the boxy design gives it a commanding presence, and the LED headlights are particularly bright at night. However, this design is subjective. Personally, I think it looks great, but my friends said it looks like a big bread loaf, so I'll give it 4 points. All in all, this car is really comfortable to use in Malaysia. It handles everything from daily commuting to family outings. While the price tag of 350,000 MYR isn't cheap, the value for money is still very high!

Owner of 2024 ZEEKR 009 Ultra Luxury
As the owner of the 2024 ZEEKR 009 Ultra Luxury for nearly three months, I genuinely feel that this car is incredibly suited for use in Malaysia! Performance-wise, it definitely deserves full marks! With a 4.5-second 0-100 km/h acceleration, overtaking during traffic jams in KL feels incredibly smooth. The moment the traffic light turns green, I leave the traffic behind instantly. Plus, the all-wheel drive performs super steadily on rainy highway sections to the east coast, without any skidding. A range of 582km means I just need a quick half-hour charge when driving from Kuala Lumpur to Penang, saving loads of time compared to my previous petrol car. The interior deserves a 4 out of 5. The Nappa leather seats are super soft to the touch, and the second-row aviation seats come with massage and ventilation features, which keeps the kids quiet even during long trips. However, the cup holder design of the third row is a bit small, making it easy for drinks like bubble tea to wobble. If this could be improved, it would be perfect. In terms of safety, it’s absolutely reliable. With 7 airbags plus active braking, the system once automatically stopped the car for me when I nearly rear-ended someone on Jalan Ampang! The 360-degree camera is super convenient for parking in narrow spaces near the Petronas Twin Towers, and it makes it easy even for new drivers to handle. As for the appearance, the LED headlights and the through-type taillights are highly identifiable at night. However, the car’s long body sometimes requires a couple of adjustments to fit into small mechanical parking spaces in residential areas, which is a slight pity. But overall, it still looks very stylish and grand. All in all, at a price of just over RM350,000, the configuration of this car has no rival among MPVs in Malaysia. Highly recommended to friends who frequently travel with family!

Owner of 2024 ZEEKR 009 Ultra Luxury
As the owner of the 2024 ZEEKR 009 Ultra Luxury, having driven it in Malaysia for almost three months, I really have to praise its appearance! Every time I park near the Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur, someone comes over to ask what car this is—its square and imposing body paired with the seamless LED lights looks exceptionally stylish under the Southeast Asian sunlight. It completely matches my aesthetic taste; a well-deserved 5 out of 5! As for performance, I'll give it 4 points. Accelerating to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds makes overtaking those slow-moving trucks on Malaysian highways incredibly satisfying. However, the constant traffic jams in Kuala Lumpur make such strong power somewhat underutilized. Occasionally, when crossing speed bumps, although the suspension does a pretty good job, you can still feel a bit of a jolt. If it could be even softer, it would be perfect. I'm also quite satisfied with the safety features. Last time in a roundabout in Penang, a car suddenly changed lanes and almost sideswiped me. The automatic braking intervened instantly, giving me a fright but also saving the car. Additionally, the 360-degree camera is especially useful when parking in those narrow alleys in Kuala Lumpur, so I no longer worry about scratching nearby motorbikes. A solid 4 out of 5!

Owner of 2024 ZEEKR 009 Luxury
As the owner of the 2024 ZEEKR 009 Luxury, having driven it in Malaysia for nearly three months, the two aspects I want to talk about the most are the exterior and interior. I’d give the exterior 4 out of 5. Overall, it does have a commanding presence—with its 5.2-meter length, driving it around Kuala Lumpur, whether parking in the VIP spots at Pavilion mall or being noticed by other cars on the LDP Expressway, it definitely has a sense of prestige. However, the front design with that light strip and closed grille does make it look a bit like a "big flat screen," as my mom describes it. Especially when visiting my hometown in Penang, occasionally neighbors would joke, “Is that a modified delivery truck?” Although I know they’re joking, it does seem to lack the “rounded and approachable” feel of traditional luxury MPVs. That’s why I deducted 1 point. But the interior—I'd give it full marks! The Nappa leather seats really saved my life. With Malaysia's constant 30-plus-degree weather, turning on the ventilation remotely before getting in ensures that the seat and backrest are cool when I sit down—it's even comfier than the sofa at home. The electric leg rest and massage function for the second row are top-notch. Last week, I took my parents to Genting Highlands, and my dad used the massage function all the way to the top of the mountain. When we arrived, he kept saying, "This feels even better than going to a massage parlor!" The 1.1-meter-long slide rail is also super practical. When someone is sitting in the third row, you can push it a bit forward to fit three carry-on-sized suitcases in the trunk. When no one is sitting back there, my mom just reclines and takes a nap. The 30 Yamaha speakers are even more incredible. Playing Malaysian songs on the highway provides a surround sound experience that's better than the audio system at home—listening to music even makes being stuck in traffic bearable. All in all, the exterior might not be everyone's favorite, but the interior truly meets all my needs. Every time I get in the car, I feel that the money was well spent!

Owner of 2024 ZEEKR 009 Luxury
As the owner of the 2024 Zeekr 009 Luxury, after driving it in Malaysia for almost three months, I’m overall very satisfied! Starting with the performance, the 4.5-second acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h makes overtaking on Malaysian highways incredibly smooth. During Kuala Lumpur’s morning and evening rush hours, a light tap on the accelerator allows me to follow traffic quickly without any lag. However, when driving on bumpy roads, although the suspension absorbs shocks quite well, the weight of the car is still evident, and you can occasionally feel some bumps. I think giving it a score of 4 out of 5 is very fair. In terms of interior, the Nappa leather seats feel amazing, and the massage and ventilation functions of the second row are incredibly practical in the hot and humid weather of Penang! The 15.05-inch OLED central control screen has excellent clarity and operates smoothly. However, the storage space for the third row is a bit limited; when three people are seated on long trips, it feels a bit cramped for placing phones or wallets, but overall, it’s still very comfortable. The safety features are really comprehensive. With 7 airbags, active braking, and lane departure warning, they’ve been a great help while driving on the rural roads of Malacca. One time, I was almost startled by a motorbike that suddenly dashed out, but the active braking intervened just in time. The 360-degree panoramic camera is also very useful when parking in the old town areas of Kuala Lumpur, though sometimes, on rainy days, the camera can get a bit blurry and needs to be wiped manually. As for the exterior, the square design stands out on Malaysian streets with a very high head-turning rate. The LED headlights are bright enough at night and have excellent recognition as well. However, since the body is relatively large, I need to be careful when navigating through narrow alleys in Ipoh, but overall, it looks very imposing. All in all, this car is very suitable for use in Malaysia. Although there are some small details that could be improved, its overall performance is really impressive!
