HAVAL FIRST LOVE
Haval is an automotive brand under the ownership of the Chinese automaker Great Wall Motors. Specializing in crossovers and SUVs, Haval emerged as a standalone brand in March 2013 after being spun off from a product line of Great Wall. As of 2024, it holds the position of being the most popular brand among others owned by Great Wall, including Tank, Ora, and Wey. The brand's history dates back to the introduction of the Great Wall Haval CUV in April 2005. Originally romanized as 'Hover,' the Haval name was associated with this compact SUV, later renamed Haval H3. Serving as a successor to the Great Wall Safe, the Haval CUV marked a shift towards a more 'urban' design, deviating from Great Wall Motors' previous emphasis on pickup trucks and off-road-oriented SUVs. A notable milestone in Haval's history occurred in September 2006 when 500 units of Haval CUVs were exported to Italy. This event marked a significant achievement as it represented the first instance of a privately-owned Chinese car company exporting cars to Europe in substantial quantities. Haval's journey has since positioned it as a prominent player in the automotive market, particularly known for its focus on crossovers and SUVs.
