Headquartered in Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, Mercedes-Benz AG, a subsidiary of the Mercedes-Benz Group since 2019, specializes in luxury and commercial vehicles. The brand's diverse product line includes consumer luxury vehicles and light commercial vehicles, all branded under the name Mercedes-Benz. Notably, heavy commercial vehicles such as trucks and buses bearing the Mercedes-Benz badge have been managed by Daimler Truck since November 2019. Daimler Truck transitioned into an independent company in late 2021, separating from the Mercedes-Benz Group. In 2018, Mercedes-Benz achieved the distinction of being the largest brand of premium vehicles globally, boasting impressive sales figures of 2.31 million passenger cars. The roots of the brand trace back to the 1901 Mercedes from Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft and the 1886 Benz Patent-Motorwagen by Carl Benz, considered the first internal combustion engine in a self-propelled automobile. With a commitment to excellence, Mercedes-Benz is guided by the slogan "the best or nothing," reflecting its dedication to delivering top-notch quality and innovation in the automotive industry.
