A New Member Added to the BMW X3 Family! The Fourth Generation Model Officially Debuts

The highly anticipated fourth generation BMW X3 (G45) has finally made its official debut, and will land first in the US and European markets in the fourth quarter of this year, then gradually release in other regions of the world starting from January 2025. The new X3 has been completely revamped in terms of appearance, with overall dimensions increasing, the body more streamlined and dynamic.
Length increased by 34 mm to 4755 mm
Width increased by 29 mm to 1920 mm
Height reduced by 25 mm to 1660 mm, lower center of gravity, more responsive handling
Front and rear track increased by 16 mm and 45 mm respectively, bringing more stability and control
Wheelbase remains at 2865 mm, provides ample space for passengers in the car

The new X3 offers a variety of power system choices, including light hybrid gasoline and diesel engines, as well as plug-in hybrid gasoline engines. Among them, the plug-in hybrid model has the longest electric range of up to 90 kilometers, more than enough for daily commuting.
X3 20d xDrive: Equipped with a 2.0T diesel engine, maximum power of 163 horsepower, peak torque of 400 Nm
X3 20i xDrive: Equipped with a 2.0T gasoline engine, maximum power of 184 horsepower, peak torque of 300 Nm
X3 30e xDrive: Equipped with a 2.0T gasoline engine and electric motor, combined maximum power of 292 horsepower, peak torque of 420 Nm
M50 xDrive: Equipped with a 3.0T gasoline engine, maximum power of 382 horsepower, peak torque of 480 Nm

It's worth noting that the naming conventions of some models in the new X3 range have been adjusted to be more concise and clear. For example, the X3 20i xDrive no longer uses the "i" suffix to denote gasoline-powered models. In addition, BMW has also re-adjusted the alphanumeric combinations of all-wheel drive models to better align with international standards.
