According to parish priest Lawrence Ng, the car then crashed directly into a tree in the church compound.

According to police reports, this accident caused economic losses to the church, and the driver suffered a spinal cord injury. The driver was initially sent to the Kelana Jaya Medical Center, and then transferred to the University of Malaya Medical Center for further treatment.

The police official stated: "The police are still investigating the cause of the accident in accordance with Section 42(1) of the Road Traffic Act of 1987 and are taking blood samples from the driver for alcohol and drug tests." The police added that the accident did not involve any malicious factors or vandalism and advised the public not to speculate on the cause of the accident.
