Smart #3 launched in Malaysia: Exquisite sedan SUV, WLTP up to 455 kilometers

On July 10, smart #3 officially launched in Malaysia, with this EV unveiled at Pavilion Bukit Jalil and will be exhibited until this Sunday. The next stop on its exhibition trail is at the EVx by paultan.org event held at Setia City Convention Centre. Malaysia's Chief Executive Zhang Qiang stated: "Smart #3 holds immense potential in the high-end market, which strengthens our commitment to delivering excellence."

With the launch of smart #3 in Malaysia, its brand product line has expanded. At present, there are three models of smart #3 available in the Malaysian market.

·Smart #3 Pro: RM175,000

Electric motor output: 272 PS (200 kW) and 343 Nm; Rear-wheel drive

0-100 km/h acceleration time: 5.8 seconds

Top speed: 180 km/h

Battery: 49 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP)

Range (WLTP): 325 km

AC Charging: 7.4 kW

DC Charging: 130 kW

·Smart #3 Premium: RM215,000

Electric motor output: 272 PS (200 kW) and 343 Nm; Rear-wheel drive

0-100 km/h acceleration time: 5.8 seconds

Top speed: 180 km/h

Battery: 66 kWh Nickel Manganese Cobalt (NMC)

Range (WLTP): 455 km

AC Charging: 22 kW; Charging from 10-80% SoC within three hours

DC Charging: 150 kW; Charging from 10-80% SoC within 30 minutes

·Smart #3 Brabus: RM255,000

Electric motor output: 428 PS (315 kW) and 543 Nm; All-wheel drive

Acceleration from 0-100 km/h: 3.7 seconds

Top speed: 180 km/h

Battery: 66 kWh Nickel Manganese Cobalt (NMC)

Range (WLTP): 415 km

AC charging: 22 kW; charges to 10-80% SoC within 3 hours

DC charging: 150 kW; charges 10-80% SoC within 30 minutes

The Smart #3 model is 4,400 mm long (+130mm), 1,844 mm wide (+22 mm), and 1,556 mm high (-80 mm). Smart #3 is the "sports car SUV" sister model of Smart #1, the first model of the reborn Smart brand (now jointly owned by GEELY and Benz, the latter responsible for the design), and also the first product of Pro-Net. The overall design presents the brand's unique agile style. It is worth mentioning that the drag coefficient of the car is only 0.27Cd, slightly lower than the #1's 0.29Cd.
