On August 21, Xpeng, an electric vehicle manufacturer from China, launched the Xpeng G6 model in Thailand. This manufacturer, known as a new force in electrified vehicle brands in China, is beginning to expand into more global right-hand drive markets. On August 20, Xpeng released its second-quarter financial report, delivering a total of 30,207 intelligent electric vehicles in the second quarter, an increase of 30.2% compared to 23,205 in the same period of 2023. Nowadays, Xpeng G6 is officially on sale in Malaysia today! The price is RM25,000 cheaper than Model Y.

The Xpeng G6 model launched by Xpeng has two choices, namely the standard version and the long-lasting version. From the name, the main differences between the two models are mainly reflected in the cruising range and power performance. The price range is from RM 165,820 to RM 185,820.

XPENG G6 Standard Range 2024: RM 165,820

XPENG G6 Long Range 2024: RM 185,820

In terms of endurance, the Xpeng G6 standard version is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery, with a cruising range of 505km. While the long-lasting version is equipped with a ternary lithium battery, with a cruising range of up to 625km. The cruising performance of the two models of Xpeng G6 is mainly affected by its battery size and materials.

In terms of power, the maximum speed of both models of Xpeng G6 is 200km/h. However, the 100-meter acceleration time of the long-range version is 6.2s, which is 0.4s faster than the standard version's 6.6s. Overall, the difference in explosive power performance between the two models is not very significant.

In terms of size, both models of Xpeng G6 are positioned as D-class cars. The length, width and height of the vehicle and the wheelbase are 4753mm, 1920mm, 1650mm and 2890mm, respectively. From the size data, both vehicles have relatively large body space, which can provide comfortable moving space for riding. It is worth mentioning that the trunk capacity of both models of Xpeng G6 is 571L, once again reflecting the design of large space.

When it comes to electric vehicles, we cannot ignore safety systems and intelligent driving performance. The two models of Xpeng G6 have no difference in the configuration of intelligent performance. This indicates that the overall configuration of the two models is not much different. The difference mainly lies in the endurance and power. For consumers who have a choice of two models, they can focus on comparing endurance and power. The specific safety configuration of the two models is shown in the picture.

As for the interior, the two models of Xpeng G6 also fully reflect the trend of today's electric vehicles. Both models are equipped with a 10.2-inch instrument screen, a 14.96-inch central control screen, an adjustable and multifunctional steering wheel and a wireless charging device for mobile phones. The seats in the cabin are also all automatically adjustable, which fully reflects the concept of smart service life.
