【PCauto】The Xpeng X9 recently started deliveries in Thailand and Malaysia, and the 2025 model has now officially launched in China. Fortunately, the changes to the X9 for China aren't extensive, which should alleviate concerns for existing owners. Moreover, Xpeng has frequently stated that even older models of the X9 can be upgraded to match the configuration levels of the new version.

The 2025 Xpeng X9 maintains the same dimensions as its predecessor, measuring 5293 mm in length, 1988 mm in width, and 1785 mm in height, while the wheelbase remains at 3160 mm, solidifying its position as a large MPV with a seven-seat configuration. In terms of range, the new Xpeng X9 features a battery pack that supports 5C ultra-fast charging, offering two battery capacity options: 94.8 kWh and 105 kWh.
· 94.8 kWh 2WD model has a CLTC range of 650 km
· 94.8 kWh 4WD model has a CLTC range of 620 km
· 105 kWh 2WD model has a CLTC range of 740 km
· 105 kWh 4WD model has a CLTC range of 702 km

In terms of exterior colors, Xpeng has introduced three new shades: Starship Grey, Nebula Purple, and Galaxy Blue. Compared to the currently available color options like Crescent Silver, Dark Night, Nebula White, and Stardust Gold, these new colors provide more personalized choices for customers.

From a design perspective, the 2025 Xpeng X9 continues the overall aesthetic of the current model. However, due to the adoption of a purely visual intelligent driving solution, the laser radar areas on the front bumper sides of the current model will be covered with glossy black panels adorned with silver trim in the new version. When the intelligent driving feature is activated, the exterior side mirrors will illuminate with blue lights, indicating the use of this function.

The front cabin design remains largely unchanged, featuring a 17.3-inch central control screen and a 10.25-inch instrument panel, along with a two-spoke steering wheel and a gear shift lever that remains practical and user-friendly.
One of the key upgrades is in the rear seating area, where the Xpeng X9 will offer a model with zero-gravity seats in the aisle configuration. Previously, the zero-gravity seats occupied the center aisle of the second row, making the design less family-friendly. As a result, many customers preferred opting for standard seats instead of adding the zero-gravity option.

In business settings, the zero-gravity seats in the Xpeng X9 offer an exceptionally comfortable seating experience. The seat surfaces are made from premium chrome-free leather, providing a soft and pleasant touch. These seats can automatically adjust the zero-gravity angle based on the position of the front seats and feature 14-way electric adjustments, allowing precise adjustment of both sitting posture and recline angle to meet passenger preferences. Additionally, the seats are equipped with ventilation, heating, and massage functions.

Moreover, it is said that the Xpeng X9 will also introduce a range-extended version this year. Recently, at a related conference in the Chinese automotive industry, Xpeng introduced its Kunpeng Super Electric System, which is based on a comprehensive 800V high-voltage silicon carbide platform. This system features a 5C ultra-fast charging AI battery, hybrid silicon carbide coaxial electric drive, and operates with a noise level of only 1dB. The AI battery management and AI power functionality are designed to provide an electric range of up to 430 km, with a total range of 1400 km.
