On September 19, the brand new HAVAL H9 (second generation model) was officially launched in China. As a replacement model, the second generation HAVAL H9 has undergone dramatic changes in both interior and exterior, offering two power units, a 2.0T petrol engine and a 2.4T diesel engine, while still retaining the non-load-bearing body structure. Currently, only the 2020 model of HAVAL H0 has been introduced in China, and subsequent models have not been imported. Although you may not be familiar with HAVAL H9's car manufacturer GWM, you must have heard of the Tank series of products under GWM, which are selling very well in the original country, China's Xinjiang and other places, and also performing well in global sales. Will the new HAVAL H9 model in China be prepared for introduction into the country?

In terms of appearance, HAVAL H9 uses a design language similar to HAVAL Raptor, with a square grille and retro round headlights at the front face. The grille adopts parallel line design, decorated with rivets. The "HAVAL" silver letter logo is in the center, providing a very unique visual effect.

HAVAL H9's front portion is equipped with a protective plate, which can protect the front of the car from knocks in complex off-road conditions. The new car offers body color options such as white, black, gray and green.

The side of the HAVAL H9 car body, the waistline runs through the entire vehicle body, the lines are concave and convex, showing the unique power sense of hard-core off-road. The large wheel arch design in the style of a castle, echoes with the hard-core body design, highlighting the characteristics of hard-core off-road vehicles.

In addition, the HAVAL H9 petrol version model has optional 17/18/19 inch wheels, while the diesel version model only comes with 18-inch wheels. In terms of body size, the new car's length, width, and height are respectively 5070/1960, 1976/1930mm, and the wheelbase is 2850mm.

Coming to the rear, the shape of the HAVAL H9 is the standard hardcore off-road vehicle look. The externally mounted spare tire and the longitudinally distributed tail light group are quite hardcore. The trunk door uses a side-opening design that opens to the right.



In terms of interior decoration, the second generation HAVAL H9 has adopted a new design style. The three-spoke multifunction steering wheel paired with a 14.6-inch suspended central control screen makes the car look both youthful and technological. HAVAL H9 replaced with the electric gear lever of the same model as Tank 300, the central air-conditioning vent is located below the central control screen, complemented by the functional physical buttons in the gear area, it provides a stronger overall sense. In terms of configuration, the second-generation HAVAL H9 is equipped with practical functions such as one-click remote start, intelligent mobile phone App remote monitoring, 540-degree panoramic image, panoramic fusion parking, FOTA upgrade.


In terms of seats, HAVAL H9 adopts a seat design that is more in line with the physiological curve of the human body. The foam A surface (the visible area of the seat surface is uniformly referred to as the A area) adds 10mm comfort sponge, a new seat shock absorption layer is added, provides good vibrational absorption, ensures users are free from vibration disturbances during driving, achieving a relaxing state; the length of the second-row seat cushion has been extended to reach 522mm, providing stronger leg support. At the same time, the new car will also offer 8 optional massage modes. The two-generation HAVAL H9 five-seat version has a trunk size volume of 791L, which can accommodate 1 28-inch suitcase, 2 24-inch suitcases, 2 20-inch suitcases, and the volume can be expanded to 1814L after the second-row seats are put to pure flat.


In terms of power, HAVAL H9 retains the 2.0T+8AT power system, and adds a new 2.4T+9AT diesel power combination to meet the needs of diesel enthusiasts. Among them, the maximum power of the petrol version is 165kW, and the maximum power of the diesel version is 137kW.
In addition, the body of HAVAL H9 adopts a non-load-bearing body structure, with a chassis beam, and the newly added towing qualification makes the playability of the new car higher and the car use scene richer. In terms of passing indicators, the approach angle of the second generation HAVAL H9 is 31°, the departure angle is 26°, the ground clearance is 224mm, and the wading depth is 800mm. The new car will also provide TOD intelligent four-wheel drive with three differential locks (Mlock mechanical lock) in the front, middle, and rear, and equipped with a second-generation all-terrain control system, including snow, mud, sand, 4L, economy, standard, and sports modes.
