On September 25th, the brand-new Haval H9 officially went on sale. The new car was launched in three models with a price tag of RMB 199900-229900, or approximately RM 117969-135684. As a rugged SUV, the Haval H9 is equipped with 2.0T power and a non-load-bearing body, using a tank platform. The whole series comes standard with TOD intelligent four-wheel drive + Mlock mechanical lock stop, and torque can be magnified 2.64 times in low-speed four-drive mode, supporting tank turnaround.

The all-new Haval H9 adopts a robust and stern design style. The body lines are straight and steady, and the headlight design integrates the elements of a circular earth and a square sky. The classic "square box" shape not only continues the family gene, but also shows the aura of a rugged off-road. The large-scale chrome-plated central grille enhances the high-end texture of the vehicle, and the front engine cover and front bumper are substantial, providing a strong sense of safety.

The tangents at the engine cover run through the whole body, forming a three-dimensional waistline. Expanded wheel arches reveal the temperament of a rugged off-road vehicle. The new car features a design with short front and rear overhangs and a long wheelbase, ensuring ample interior space. The blacked-out window frames and roof rack add a sense of style and modernity. In terms of size, the new car has a length, width, and height of 5070/1976/1930mm respectively, with a wheelbase of 2850mm. The new car also offers an electric side step for easy access.
At the rear of the vehicle, the classic external spare tire shape easily identifies it as a rugged SUV, and the equally solid bumper echoes the front bumper. The taillights are also retro in style, with a unique upper and lower split layout.

The interior style echoes the exterior, also showing a hard and rough side. The lines of the center console are straight up and down, retaining a large number of physical buttons, which is convenient for off-road operation. The car is equipped with a 2K HD 14.6-inch large screen, which supports a variety of Apps and Huawei HiCar vehicle connection, and the response of voice control is quick. The new car also provides a panoramic sunroof, improving the comfort of riding. The trunk volume of the five-seat version is up to 791L, which can be expanded to 1814L after the second row is put down, satisfying various storage needs.

The all-new Haval H9 is equipped with a 2.0T turbocharged gasoline engine with a maximum power of 224 horsepower (165 kW) and a maximum torque of 385 Nm. It matches the ZF 8AT gearbox. The vehicle provides an L2-level driving assistance system, including ACC adaptive cruise control, intelligent cruise assist, lane keep assist, collision warning, AEB, blind spot monitoring, and lane change assist functions.
Off-road, the new car has an approach angle of 31 degrees, a departure angle of 26 degrees, a wading depth of 800mm, a ground clearance of 224mm, and can climb a 45-degree slope. The entire series is equipped with a standard TOD intelligent four-wheel drive + Mlock mechanical lock, which can achieve seamless switching of torque between 0-100% between the front and rear axles. In the low-speed four-wheel drive mode, the torque can be increased by 2.64 times, and the torque capacity can be increased from 1200N·m to 1900N·m. In addition, the new car is also equipped with an electronically controlled mechanical differential lock for the front/rear axle, and three locks are formed with the Mlock mechanical locking structure to enhance the off-road escape ability.
Summary
The all-new Haval H9 is undoubtedly an impressive hardcore off-road SUV, which directly targets consumer groups with high demands for off-road performance. Its body-on-frame structure, tank platform and standard four-wheel drive system make it competitive in the market. In addition, the unique square aesthetic styling, rich configuration, and affordable price have attracted a lot of attention in the hardcore SUV segment, whether for city driving or outdoor adventures. With consumers' increasing demand for off-road SUVs, and Haval's accumulated experience and technological advantages in the off-road vehicle market, the all-new Haval H9 is expected to continue to maintain its lead in the future market.
