Zeekr's First Anniversary in Malaysia: Over 2,000 Deliveries, High-Performance Car 7X Becomes a Highlight

[PCauto] Zeekr entered the Malaysian market just one year ago. It is reported that Zeekr's cumulative delivery volume has exceeded 2,000 units. This brand started selling locally at the end of last year with two models, Zeekr X and Zeekr 009. Notably, the 2000th vehicle delivered was the high-performance flagship model 7X.

“2,000 units is not just a number”
“Reaching 2,000 owners in a year is no small feat for us at Zeekr and serves as a reflection of the trust Malaysians have placed in Zeekr and our promise to deliver not just cars, but an unparalleled vehicle ownership experience. We will continue to raise the bar in sales and aftersales services, ensuring every Zeekr journey is synonymous with luxury and peace of mind,”said Eddy Lu, GM of Zeekr Malaysia.

According to the plan, by the end of 2026, Zeekr intends to increase the number of showrooms in Malaysia to 18, along with the construction of over 10 exclusive after-sales service and body repair centers. Cities like Johor Bahru, Malacca, Ampang in Kuala Lumpur, and Ipoh have been listed as key areas for expanding the sales network in the coming months.

High-Performance Version of Zeekr 7X
This time, as the 2000th milestone vehicle off the production line, it is the high-performance version of the Zeekr 7X. Its performance parameters are impressive:
- Maximum power of 646 horsepower
- Peak torque of 710 Nm
- 0-100 km/h acceleration in just 3.8 seconds
- Equipped with a 100 kWh battery pack, it has a range of approximately 543 kilometers under the WLTP testing standard

The Market is in a Phase of Accelerating Electrification
The year Zeekr entered Malaysia coincided with the local automotive industry accelerating its transition to electrification. Local automotive giant Proton has already begun constructing a new EV factory at the "Automotive High Tech-Valley" (AHTV) in Perak state to commence local assembly production. However, up to now, Zeekr has not disclosed whether it will collaborate with Proton or its specific timeline for promoting localized assembly. This aspect has drawn market attention, as achieving localized assembly often means vehicles may become more competitively priced, and the supply chain can respond faster.
