ZEEKR's Q2 revenue breaks 20 billion RMB, gross margin hits a new high

On August 21, ZEEKR's official released the second quarter financial report of 2024. The report showed that ZEEKR has achieved more than 20 billion RMB in revenue in the second quarter, a year-on-year increase of 58%, an increase of 36% monotonically. It has set a new record for a single season, and the gross profit margin reached 17.2%. Of this, the total revenue of vehicle sales exceeded 13.4 billion RMB, an increase of 59% year-on-year, and a sequential increase of more than 64%. ZEEKR’s revenue for the first half of the year was nearly 35 billion RMB, an increase of more than 60% year-on-year.

Official data shows that in the second quarter, ZEEKR delivered a total of 54,811 cars, doubling compared to the same period last year, and increased by 66% sequentially. In June, ZEEKR's monthly delivery volume soared to 20,106 units, breaking the important milestone of 20,000 units for the first time. From January to June, ZEEKR delivered a total of 87,870 new cars, and by the end of July, ZEEKR's cumulative deliveries broke through 300,000 units in 33 months. In addition, ZEEKR's R&D investment in the second quarter was 2.62 billion RMB, a nearly 90% increase year-on-year, a 36% increase sequentially, and the cumulative R&D investment was 21.52 billion RMB. On the same day, ZEEKR's parent company GEELY released its results for the first half of 2024. Under the Hong Kong accounting standards, excluding the impact of share payments, the net loss of the extreme cerium was significantly narrowed to 70 million RMB in the first half of the year, and a profit was realized in the second quarter.

It is understood that as of the end of July 2024, ZEEKR has opened 438 stores worldwide, including 404 in China and 34 abroad.

As for overseas businesses, as of the end of July, ZEEKR has successfully entered more than 30 major global markets, including the Netherlands, Sweden, Thailand, United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. On August 1, ZEEKR completed the delivery of the world's first right-hand drive version of ZEEJR X in Thailand and will gradually promote it to other right-hand drive markets. In addition, the right-hand drive version of ZEEKR 009 will begin to be delivered in large quantities in the fourth quarter of this year.
