Jetour Dashing 1.5 TCI Comfort 2025 Review

The C-segment SUV market has been heating up locally in recent years. Consumers want spacious interiors while also expecting balanced features and performance—Jetour Dashing 1.5 TCI Comfort 2025 is here to meet these demands. Priced at RM109,800, it focuses on its long wheelbase and comprehensive features as core selling points. In this test drive, we primarily evaluate its practicality, smooth power delivery, and whether its features can truly meet the daily needs of family users.
In terms of exterior design, the overall style of Jetour Dashing leans toward youthful sportiness. The front features a large intake grille paired with a black-treated mesh and sharp LED headlamp units, offering good recognizability. The side profile has smooth lines, with a waistline extending from the fender to the rear enhancing a sense of strength. The 18-inch wheels are well-proportioned to the body and do not look undersized. The rear LED taillights span across the back and are a design highlight, creating an eye-catching visual effect when lit. The rear bumper design also mirrors the front, with an overall clean look free of unnecessary complex lines, making it an aesthetically enduring design.
Sitting inside, the interior mainly adopts a dark tone with the center console wrapped in soft materials, offering a decent tactile feel. The most striking feature is the 10.25-inch dual-screen design, with the left side displaying the instrument panel and the right side as the infotainment system. The interface operation is moderately smooth and supports basic Bluetooth connectivity and multimedia functions. The multi-function steering wheel is equipped with paddle shifters, with a reasonable button layout that is easy to operate without looking. Keyless entry and start functions come as standard, making daily use quite convenient. For the seats, the driver’s seat is adjustable in six directions electrically, while the front passenger seat is manually adjustable in four directions. The cushions are on the softer side, ensuring long trips aren’t overly tiring. The rear seats can be folded down in a 60:40 split, expanding the trunk space. Additionally, the rear has independent air conditioning vents, which is particularly friendly for family users.
Space is one of Dashing's strong points. The vehicle dimensions are 4590mm×1900mm×1685mm with a wheelbase of 2720mm. After adjusting the front seat to a comfortable position, the rear legroom still leaves about two fist-widths of space, and a 175cm-tall passenger will not feel cramped. The trunk has a default capacity of 486 liters, which can easily fit two 28-inch suitcases along with a few backpacks. Folding the rear seats allows for loading larger items, providing practical utility. There are also plenty of storage compartments inside the car, with spacious door pockets and a central armrest box that can meet daily usage needs. There is also a USB port in the front for convenient charging.
In terms of power, this vehicle is equipped with a 1.5T turbocharged engine, delivering a maximum horsepower of 156PS and a peak torque of 230N·m, paired with a 6-speed DCT transmission. During daily driving, the vehicle shows a responsive start, with maximum torque available at 1750rpm. Following traffic or overtaking in the city doesn’t show obvious lag; at highway speeds, the engine runs at around 2000rpm to maintain 100km/h. During sudden acceleration, the gearbox shifts at a reasonable speed, though there might be a delay of about 1 second when pressing deeply on the accelerator. There’s only a standard driving mode available, and the overall tuning leans toward comfort, making it suited for daily commuting.
The handling and chassis performance align with the positioning of a family SUV. The steering wheel is lightweight in effort, with moderate precision and without excessive play; the combination of front MacPherson struts and rear multi-link independent suspension handles minor road bumps well. When passing over speed bumps, there's no harsh impact, although the body roll during high-speed cornering is slightly noticeable, making it more suitable for stable driving. The brake pedal has a linear feel, with evenly distributed braking force that gives confidence during daily driving.
In terms of fuel consumption, we drove 50km each in the city and on the highway, resulting in an average fuel consumption of about 8.2L/100km, which matches the level of a 1.5T SUV. If driving entirely on the highway, the fuel consumption can drop to around 6.8L, a performance that is fairly standard. Regarding noise control, tire and engine noise are not significant during low-speed city driving, but wind noise gradually increases when the speed exceeds 100km/h on the highway, albeit remaining within an acceptable range.
Overall, Jetour Dashing 1.5 TCI Comfort 2025's core advantages lie in the space provided by its long wheelbase, comprehensive basic features (such as dual screens, electric seats, rear air conditioning), and its budget-friendly pricing. Compared to competitors in the same segment, such as the Haval H6 or Proton X70, its price is more competitive with no significant shortcomings in configuration, although the brand's recognition might be slightly weaker.
This car is ideal for families who value space and practicality, especially those who frequently carry family members and have a budget of around 110,000 MYR. It doesn't excel in any particular aspect, but its balanced performance can meet the needs of daily commuting and weekend outings. All in all, Jetour Dashing is a 'pragmatic' SUV that offers most of the features a family needs at a reasonable price, making it worth considering.
