Honda CR-V

Overview of the series

In 2023, Honda CR-V will have two engine options in Malaysia, namely the 1.5-liter turbocharged engine (193 PS/243 Nm) and the first-time 2.0-liter dual-motor i-MMD petrol-electric hybrid power system (184 PS/335 Nm). The CR-V 2.0L e:HEV RS will be equipped with various high-end configurations.

Power system

The CR-V RS adopts Honda's most advanced dual-motor full hybrid power system. The 2.0 liter 142 PS/189 Nm four-cylinder engine can drive wheels or power generators. Unlike the Civic e:HEV RS, the propulsion motor design of the CR-V RS makes its torque increase by 6.5% to 335 Nm, and the maximum speed of the motor is increased by 1500rpm to increase the maximum speed. It also includes a more compact power control unit and intelligent power unit, which reduce the overall weight and size without reducing energy density and efficiency. The power output has subtle differences at low speeds, and the acceleration at medium and high speeds is relatively easy, and it can quickly reach over 160km/h, and the mid-range torque is stronger than the CR-V 1.5T.

Interior configuration

The overall structure is simple, the build quality has been improved, and the ergonomics are excellent. The comfort of the seats has been improved, the rear passengers have a better view, reducing motion sickness, and it is quieter than the 1.5T model at 70 - 110km/h. It is also equipped with a new active intake grille, hands-free electric tailgate, 360-degree camera, and Bose premium sound system, etc.

Safety system

Equipped with a newly upgraded Honda sensing system, with higher precision and 9 safety functions, adding adaptive high-beam function, can detect motorcycles and trucks, further ensuring road safety.
