The Hyundai Kona is highly anticipated, after many obstacles. HSDM had planned to introduce it early but delayed due to various reasons, it was not launched after being previewed at the 2018 Kuala Lumpur International Auto Show, and the related discussion was rekindled after an undisguised model was found in Malaysia, HSDM revealed that the price starts at about RM 115k.

The fourth generation Tucson for Malaysia is fully imported (CBU) from Korea, with three variants available. The prices are as follows: 2.0 Lite is RM 158,888, 1.6T Plus is RM 178,888, and 1.6T Max is RM 195,888. The base model 2.0 Lite features a naturally aspirated engine, equipped with a 2.0-litre "Smartstream" four-cylinder engine, producing 156 PS and 192 Nm, paired with a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The other two variants are equipped with a 1.6-litre turbocharged Smartstream four-cylinder engine, producing 180 PS and 265 Nm, matched with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT).
