The oldest car in Toyota's product line is the "financial product" 4Runner. The last time it had been changed was 15 years ago (in 2009). This time, the sixth-generation 4Runner is based on the all-new Tacoma and uses the same TNGA-F platform. It shares many parts in appearance and has abandoned the 4.0 V6 and five-speed automatic transmission. It continues to use the design of a 2.4 turbocharged engine. In the future, the 4Runner will take on a more lively image to compete with the Land Cruiser 250 for the pure off-road vehicle market in North America.

The all new 4Runner adopts a family-style design, with the same front face as the Tacoma, featuring a double-layer polygonal grille and a silver underguard. The headlight design is the same as it. The body structure is different from that of the Land Cruiser 250. It continues the streamlined style of the five generations of 4Runner. Of course, the iconic tough lines are also retained, especially the triangular window design after the C-pillar continues the style of the first generation. The roof is equipped with a robust luggage rack, and the pronounced wheel arches and door folds show a strong sense of muscle. Compared with the previous generation, the new 4Runner has increased its wheelbase by 61mm and its overall length has increased by 119mm.

The rear of the car is shaped by trapezoidal tail lights with a black outline, and the "4Runner" logo is moved down to above the bumper. In addition, the polygonal groove in the silver rear bumper reflects the tough off-road style. In addition, the roll-down rear window has always been a feature of the 4Runner, and the sixth-generation model retains it. The unexpected power window that can slide open makes it more convenient to access items in the rear trunk.

Currently, the 4Runner offers SR5, TRD Sport, TRD Sport Premium, TRD Off-Road, TRD Off Road Premium, Limited, Platinum, TRD Pro and Trailhunter. The Trailhunter is a new model for this generation. The design approach of the Trailhunter version is similar to the TRD Pro version. The "TOYOTA" letter logo is adopted at the front of the car, and the original Toyota logo is retained in other models. The TRD Sport and TRD Pro versions are also equipped with vents on the hood to show the sporty feel.

In addition, the Trailhunter is equipped with dedicated off-road tires. The driving height of the front wheel has increased by 50.8 mm, and that of the rear wheel has increased by 38mm. The shock absorber uses Old Man Emu's forged device equipped with an ARB remote control lift. In addition, there is a roof rack designed by ARB, a high intake of the I-Force Max power system (standard equipment for the Trailhunter), a 20-inch light bar, and a steel skid plate.

The interior design has also been greatly improved. The standard model is equipped with an 8.0-inch touchscreen and a 7.0-inch digital instrument panel. The high-end model can also choose a 14.0-inch touch screen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel. The main unit comes with Andriod Auto, Apple CarPlay wireless connection, wireless charging, and USB-A and USB-C interface.

Each version of the new 4Runner comes standard with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, including automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection function, active full-speed domain cruise control, lane tracking assist, road sign recognition, and high beam assist equipment.

In terms of power, the 4Runner has abandoned the long-used 4.0 L V-6 engine and five-speed automatic transmission and instead uses a standard 2.4 Turbo four-cylinder turbocharged engine, with a maximum horsepower of 283PS and a maximum torque of 513Nm. The 2.4 I-Force Max hybrid engine can output a maximum power of 330PS and a maximum torque of 630Nm. Both of these power systems use the new eight-speed automatic transmission, but the manual transmission setting has been canceled.

The 4Runner will provide two-wheel drive, PART-TIME four-wheel-drive, and FULLTIME four-wheel drive, with a limited-slip differential (rear wheel models), electronic transfer case (four-wheel-drive models), upgraded limited slip differential (four-wheel models) and a full-time four-wheel-drive system with a central differential lock (hybrid models). In addition, Toyota has also introduced a new anti-roll bar disconnect mechanism to achieve better off-road capabilities, just press a button and it will allow the 4Runner to bend while keeping the tires on the ground. The approach angle of the 4Runner is 32 degrees, the departure angle is 24 degrees, and the maximum towing capability has increased from 5000 pounds to 6000 pounds.

Perodua Traz VS Ativa, which one is more worth buying?

Traz, as a newly launched mid-sized SUV, offers more spacious room and mainstream power compared to small SUVs, but its pricing appears slightly higher than that of Ativa. Ativa, on the other hand, is Perodua's long-time best-selling small SUV with more affordable pricing and a balanced combination of power and tech features.

Perodua Traz VS Toyota Yaris Cross, where does the Traz fall short?

Before the official launch of the Perodua Traz, market expectations were actually very high because it shares the same DNGA platform as the Toyota Yaris Cross. However, sharing the same platform does not equate to the same experience, and the Traz's final performance has indeed been disappointing. Perhaps it is precisely because of the delayed launch that it has almost no competitiveness in the current competitive environment.

Will the Toyota Yaris Cross come to Malaysia? If it comes, how much will it sell for?

The launch of Perodua Traz indicates that the market size of small SUVs in Malaysia has been expanding in recent years. However, the question naturally shifts back to Toyota. As a brand with the most comprehensive product line and a strong foundation in both the SUV and hybrid sectors, will Toyota choose the Yaris Cross to participate in this small SUV competition?

Why is the Toyota Sienna so popular with so many people?

In Malaysia, most family MPVs choose Toyota Alphard, Vellfire, or Kia Carnival. These models each have their advantages in luxury, space, or brand influence, but models that truly balance large space, multifunctional practicality, fuel efficiency, and reliability are rarely seen.
