AshleyMar 18, 2024, 07:23 PM
The 45th Bangkok International Auto Show will be held from March 27 to April 7, 2024, for 12 days. The exhibition venue is located at Muang Thong Thani Impact Challenger 1-3 in Bangkok, Thailand. This auto show not only brings together many exquisite cars but also exhibits a large number of motorcycles to provide the audience with a richer exhibition experience. The organizer, Grand Prix International Public Company Limited, believes that the Thai auto and motorcycle market will recover their vitality because the Thai market has as many as 49 brands after joining leading car manufacturers in Europe, Japan, China, India, Vietnam, etc.
According to data revealed by the Thailand Automotive Industry Association, the total output of motorcycles in Thailand in January 2024 was 177,822, a month-on-month increase of 8.08%. Among them, the domestic sales volume is 154,003, a month-on-month increase of 16.33%; exports are 36,086, a month-on-month decrease of 9.72%.

According to the Thailand Gasoline Motorcycle Industry Research Report 2023-2032, Thailand is the fifth-largest motorcycle manufacturing base in the world after China, India, Indonesia, and Vietnam. The Thai gasoline motorcycle market is mainly occupied by six major brands: Honda, Yamaha, Vespa, Jinpu, Suzuki, and Kawasaki. According to CRI statistics, Honda's sales market share has been maintained at more than 70% for consecutive years, consistently ranking first in the Thai market. Yamaha's sales market share has always been above 10%, and it has ranked second in the Thai market for many years. The market sales share of other motorcycle brands in the Thai market is always less than 5%, and they cannot shake the status of Honda and Yamaha in the short term.
