2024 Beijing Auto Show: New Mercedes Benz EQS Debuts
LienApr 25, 2024, 05:33 PM
The new Mercedes Benz EQS made its debut at the 2024 Beijing Auto Show. The new car has eliminated the “full star” front face that distinguishes it from the Mercedes Benz fuel car and has changed to a more traditional grille shape and Mercedes Benz logo. This change is well received by consumers, making EQS more Mercedes Benz, and it is easy to see its luxury car identity at a glance.

In terms of appearance, the front face part has restored the classic three-horizontal and one-vertical grille of the fuel car S-Class, and the interior also integrates sensors such as radar and cameras to provide hardware support for high-level smart driving. However, it is worth noting that the entire front face is still a closed shape. The front light group maintains the original shape, and the front surround part is a three-section hollow design in the AMG style, making the entire car head more sporty.

The sides and rear of the car have not changed significantly. It is still a symmetrical streamlined design, retains the hidden door handles and frameless doors that can be electrically opened and closed, and the short front overhang and long wheelbase body proportions reflect the space advantages of electric cars. It is worth mentioning that the new car has been fitted with a brand new style of 21-inch multibar silver wheels, which have a different visual effect. In terms of body size, the length, width, and height of the new Mercedes Benz EQS are 5216/1926/1512mm, and the wheelbase is 3210mm.

The central control is a whole Hyperscreen curved screen that perfectly penetrates the entire central control and extends from the left A-pillar to the right A-pillar (the length is 141cm, and the experience area is 2,432.11 square centimeters). At the same time, in addition to the large size, it seamlessly integrates the originally separate layout of the LCD instrument, the central control screen, the co-driver entertainment screen (new), and the air conditioning vent, realizing unprecedented design aesthetics.

In terms of power, the new Mercedes Benz EQS 580 4MATIC is equipped with a dual motor four-wheel drive system, with a maximum power of 380kW and a maximum torque of 850N·m. The battery capacity has been upgraded to 118kWh, but the specific range has not been announced. For reference, the old Mercedes Benz EQS 580 model comes with a 111.8kWh battery pack with a CLTC working range of 720 kilometers.

2026 Toyota Hilux Travo released, the brand-new exterior and interior are highly anticipated
If you're considering buying a Hilux, honestly, the comprehensive innovations in the ninth generation are worth waiting for. While the current model might still have some advantages in terms of reliability and price, the new model offers significant changes in terms of exterior and interior luxury, tech features, and powertrain options.

Jaecoo J7 VS Honda CR-V, which is the most worthwhile C-Segment SUV to buy
With an exterior that closely resembles a Land Rover, Jaecoo J7's sales experienced several months of rapid growth but have recently slowed down. Perhaps the market is nearing saturation, as Jaecoo J7 has already surpassed the once-dominant Honda CR-V in the C-Segment SUV category.

Perodua Traz VS Ativa, which one is more worth buying?
Traz, as a newly launched mid-sized SUV, offers more spacious room and mainstream power compared to small SUVs, but its pricing appears slightly higher than that of Ativa. Ativa, on the other hand, is Perodua's long-time best-selling small SUV with more affordable pricing and a balanced combination of power and tech features.

Which one is better, Honda City or Toyota Vios?
When choosing a compact sedan, Honda City and Toyota Vios are often two options that make people weigh repeatedly. You might be attracted to the dynamic design of the Vios but also be captivated by the City.

Perodua Traz VS Toyota Yaris Cross, where does the Traz fall short?
Before the official launch of the Perodua Traz, market expectations were actually very high because it shares the same DNGA platform as the Toyota Yaris Cross. However, sharing the same platform does not equate to the same experience, and the Traz's final performance has indeed been disappointing. Perhaps it is precisely because of the delayed launch that it has almost no competitiveness in the current competitive environment.
