2024 Beijing Auto Show: smart Elf #5 Concept Car Makes its Debut Appearance

At the 2024 Beijing Auto Show, the brand new model of the smart brand, smart sprite #5 concept car made its debut. The new car is built based on the SEA vast platform, positioned as a pure electric medium-sized SUV. It adopts a tough and straightforward styling style, and the detail design is also unique and bold. It is reported that the mass-produced version may debut in the second half of this year and will be launched within the year.

The official claims that the new smart sprite #5 concept car will be the largest, most square, and boldest smart in history, marking the entry of smart into the luxury mid-size pure electric SUV segment. The design inspiration comes from the "outdoors" and will be equipped with a series of specially designed accessories. The "long-lost freedom and surprise experience of exploring the unknown" is the first impression that the new smart sprite #5 concept car hopes to bring to users at the beginning of the design.
In terms of appearance, although it is a concept car, its overall style is close to mass production, the upright contour and square posture combines elegance and power into one. It is more like a square box with muscular sensibility, and the unique multifunctional outdoor roof platform interprets the spirit of outdoor exploration.

In terms of details, the external lights of the new car are very distinctive, the interior is lined up in the shape of a counterflow belt, which should have a good recognition when lit. The shorter front and rear suspension design allows this concept car to have the maximized interior space under a relatively compact body size.

As for the interior, the distinctive minimalist lines outline the overall central control interface with a horizontal layout, and the function control layout is more intuitive and convenient. The car is equipped with a 13-inch dual OLED display screen, the system built-in AMD V2000 high-performance chip. In addition, the car uses a four-seat layout, and is also equipped with zero-gravity seats with cushion airbags.
In terms of intelligent driving, the new car may be equipped with Smart Pilot Assist 3.0, which will be launched at the end of 2024. The software is fully developed by Smart Robot Technology Co., Ltd, while the hardware is a combination of NVIDIA Orin chipset and LIDAR, which will support urban NOA.

In terms of power, it has both single and dual motors available. The new car is built on an 800V pure electric high-voltage platform, supports 4C ultra-fast charging technology, and can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 15 minutes. Equipped with a battery over 100 kWh, it can achieve a range of over 700 kilometers (CLTC) or 550 kilometers (WLTP).
