At the 2024 Beijing Auto Show, Ford China announced the official introduction of the all-new Ford Mustang hardtop performance edition and convertible sports edition, marking the first time Ford has introduced the Mustang convertible version to the Chinese market. It is reported that the new Mustang will officially go on sale in China in June of this year.

The all-new Ford Mustang hardtop performance edition has upgraded GT appearance package for the Chinese market, and comes standard with drift electronic handbrake, remote sound wave, and other high-performance configurations that are inherited from the all-new Ford Mustang Dark Horse.

The all-new Ford Mustang hardtop performance edition continues with the classic style and muscle feel that has been passed down for 60 years in its exterior design. At the same time, the angles of the vehicle are more pronounced. Low and horizontal lines run across the front of the vehicle, with the grille shape echoing the style of the first-generation Ford Mustang. The new car is available in 4 colors: Mist Gray Blue, Legendary Red, Storm Black, and Glaring Day Yellow.

The classic style is also reflected in the streamlined roof line proportional to the original Mustang, the large body posture, and the short rear suspension design. At the same time, the wider rear waistline highlights the powerful power of Mustang. The iconic three-pillar tail light highlights the "Pony Car" lineage of the Ford Mustang to this day.

It is worth mentioning that the all-new Ford Mustang hardtop performance version has specially upgraded the GT performance appearance package after entering the Chinese market, including a larger, more aggressive grille, 19-inch wheels, and an active four-exit exhaust. The all-new Mustang hardtop performance version also has a wind control sports rear spoiler, further enhancing the visual experience and aerodynamic performance.

In terms of interior decoration, the new Ford Mustang adopts a driver-centered immersive smart driving cockpit, the design inspiration comes from the fighter cockpit, the 12.4-inch digital dashboard and the 13.2-inch touch link screen can customize the display content according to the driver's own habits. In addition, the car atmosphere light can be adjusted according to the selected theme, and the dashboard display interface corresponds to the driving mode one by one. The new flat-bottom steering wheel inspired by racing also adds a performance atmosphere to the car.

The physical buttons such as the radio and air conditioning control have been removed from this generation model, and their functions have been integrated into the digital display screen, making the cockpit more neat and smart. The model compliant with Chinese regulations has also upgraded the standard B&O high-end sound system, including a 12-speaker driven by 900 watts of power.

In terms of driver assistance, the new car is equipped with the new generation Ford Co-Pilot 360 intelligent driving assistance system, which includes functions such as speed limit sign recognition, full-speed range adaptive cruise control (with Stop&Go automatic following), lane centering assistance, ESA emergency steering assistance system and reversing braking assistance system, etc. Through the MagneRide active electromagnetic induction suspension system, the vehicle can also realize the active pothole mitigation function, by continuously monitoring the relevant input values of the suspension system, body, steering and braking, the suspension response can be dynamically adjusted according to road conditions.

In terms of power, the all-new FordMustang Hardtop Performance Edition is equipped with a 2.3T EcoBoost turbocharged engine, with a maximum power of 299 horsepower (220 kilowatts) and a peak torque of 453 Newton meters. The transmission system is paired with Ford's SelectShift 10-speed manual-automatic integrated gearbox.
