2024 Beijing Auto Show: Toyota Crown Sedan Launches, with Configurations Rivaling Lexus LS!

On the eve of the official opening of the Beijing Auto Show in 2024, the new Toyota Crown was officially launched at the brand night of FAW Toyota with a price of RMB 299,000-349,000 RMB, and two models were introduced. The new car adopts the traditional Sedan style and also incorporates some Coupe elements. The new Crown is the Crown Sedan released in 2022. The new car is also the Sedan version of the sixteenth-generation Crown. In addition, the Crown SportCross, which is positioned as a crossover in the sixteenth-generation Crown series, has already been listed in the Chinese market. The deluxe version is priced at RMB 369,000, and the 4WD supreme version is priced at RMB 429,000.

In terms of appearance, the new car's head shape continues the design concept of the previously launched Crown SportCross model, which shows the company characteristics. The slender lamp group of the new car's front face is connected with the front grille to form one body, the front surround adopts a large-size heat dissipation opening style and is matched with a straight waterfall-type mid-net design.
On the side of the car body, the new car looks very slender and smooth. In terms of body size, the length, width, and height of the new car are 4930/1840/1540mm, and the wheelbase is 2850mm. The rear of the new car adopts a fastback design and has a very popular LED through-type tail light. There is also a letter mark inlaid under the lamp to reflect a sense of prestige.
In terms of interior decoration, the new car's cabin uses a combination of leather and wood trim panels to create a luxurious atmosphere. And the front of the car is equipped with a double 12.3-inch full-liquid crystal instrument panel and a center control screen integrated dual-screen combination.
In terms of power configuration, the new Crown model offers two Hybrid petrol-electric options: 2.5L and 2.4T. The 2.5-liter petrol-electric hybrid version has a maximum combined power of 162 kilowatts, paired with an E-CVT continuous variable transmission that ensures a smooth driving experience. While the 2.4T petrol-electric hybrid version offers a more powerful 255 kilowatts of power and peak torque of 551 Newton meters, which is equipped with a 6-speed manual-automatic integrated transmission to accommodate higher performance requirements. Besides, some models are expected to be equipped with a four-wheel drive system to further enhance the vehicle's driving stability and ability to adapt to different road conditions.
