On August 8, the 2025 BYD Seal officially went on sale. The new car has launched with four models and the price range is from 175,800 to 239,800 RMB. As a facelift model, the new BYD Seal uses BYD's latest e-platform 3.0 Evo technology, and is equipped with the standard SiC silicon carbide, 800V high voltage platform and twelve-in-one electric drivetrain, as well as the Yunyan -C intelligent damping body control system. In addition, the new model will add a new Sky Purple exterior color and a new Sardine Orange interior color scheme, as well as the "Eye of God" advanced intelligent driving system.

In terms of appearance, the 2025 BYD Seal overall continues the old model design. It continues the "Ocean Aesthetics" design concept. The front face adopts a closed front grille design, with unique headlight group shapes on both sides. The front bumper on both sides also adds a waterwave lighting effect, which is quite unique and recognizable. In addition, the new model adds a Sky Purple color scheme, which enhances its luxurious feel.
The side of the car body adopts a sloping back shape, the wheel hub is replaced with a new style, and the visual effect is more sporty. The tail continues to adopt a through-type tail light design, and the interior of the lamp compartment is a water droplet-like arrangement effect, which is very delicate when lit. In addition, the rear logo has been changed from “BUILD YOUR DREAMS” to “BYD”.

In terms of body size, the new BYD Seal has a length, width, and height of 4800/1875/1460mm, and a wheelbase of 2920mm, which is consistent with the old model and is bigger than the Tesla Model 3.

The interior of the 2025 BYD Seal features the latest family-style design, it shifts its style from previous individualised sporty to a sleek luxury. It uses a high-gloss black control panel fitted with beautiful decorative textures, along with the newly added Sandin Coral colour scheme to enhance the luxurious atmosphere in the car. Furthermore, the new model is equipped with a new four-spoke multifunction steering wheel that exudes executive style, while the 15.6-inch adaptive rotating large screen, 10.25-inch full-LCD instrument and crystal material shift mechanism are retained.
As for its intelligent features, the new BYD Seal's intelligent cabin Advanced Edition-DiLink 100 system comes with 5G networking, an application store, dual-zone voice recognition wake-up, smartphone APP remote control, etc. In terms of other features, it will come standard with 13 safety airbags, panoramic sunroof electric curtains, heated steering wheel, 50W wireless fast charging for phones, in-car fragrance, and in-car ETC, among a series of luxurious and comfortable configurations.
In terms of intelligent driving, the 2025 BYD Seal became the first car of the BYD brand with a laser radar. It is equipped with the advanced "Eye of God" intelligent driving assistant system-DiPilot 300, 1 laser radar, 13 cameras, 12 ultrasonic radars and 5 millimeter wave radars, for a total of 31 high-precision intelligent driving sensors, which reach L2+ level driving assistance level. In terms of performance and power, the 2025 BYD Seal is newly built based on the BYD e-platform 3.0 Evo technology. It is equipped with standard SiC silicon carbide, 800V high voltage platform and twelve-in-one electric power assembly and coms standard with many BYD's self-developed global first technology, which has been improved in power performance, electricity use efficiency and charging replenishment.
The new seal offers optional single-axle rear-wheel drive and twin-axle four-wheel drive. The maximum power of the rear-wheel drive models is 170 kilowatts and 230 kilowatts respectively, with a peak torque of 380 Newton meters. The official acceleration time for 100 kilometers is 6.5 seconds and 5.9 seconds, and the top speeds are 220km and 240km respectively. In addition to this, the four-wheel drive model adds a maximum power of 160 kilowatts to the front-drive motor, with a system power of 390 kilowatts. The system torque is 670 Newton meters, the official 100 kilometer acceleration time is 3.8 seconds, and the top speed is 240km/h.
For endurance, the new BYD Seal offers a choice of a 61.44 kWh and 80.64 kWh lithium iron phosphate blade battery pack. The CLTC pure electric range is 510km, 650km and 600km (four-wheel drive) respectively. In addition, the new car supports a maximum charging power of 180 kilowatts, with SOC 10%-80% needing only 25 minutes. It also supports a maximum discharge power of 6 kilowatts for outdoor camping needs.
In terms of the chassis, the 2025 BYD Seal continues to adopt the front double-wishbone and rear multi-link independent suspension. It is also upgraded and optimized in tuning. The rear-wheel drive model is equipped with FSD variable damping shock absorbers, while the four-wheel drive model is equipped with the Yunnian-C intelligent damping body control system. The adaptability, stability, comfort and handling of the overall chassis suspension have been further enhanced, and the car's turning radius is only 5.7 meters.
