AION Y Plus Exhibits in the Bangkok Auto Show with the Longest Range of 490km

At the Bangkok Motor Show, AION unveiled the AION Y PLUS. The Aion Y Plus is GAC's first electric vehicle exported overseas and is currently sold in markets such as Thailand and Malaysia. It currently has three versions of the model that contend with cars like the BYD ATTO 3 and MG ZS EV.

The closed front face of the AION Y PLUS achieves extreme simplicity without too many embellishments. The unique shape of the front headlight becomes the focal point. This kind of headlight shape looks like a goose spreading its wings to fly. Its LED daylight running light band is designed in the shape of the wings as if this goose is flying, which is full of aura. Its refinement is reflected on the side of the car body, with silver-gray decorations added at the positions of the front and rear wheel hub and the side skirt, which makes the effect good.

The rear of the car adopts a full-width tail light and the same silver-gray decorations, but the overall style still pursues simplicity and there are not too many decorations. As for the car body dimensions, the length, width, and height of the AION Y PLUS are 4535/1870/1650mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2750mm.

Aion Y Plus still retains some interior details, such as its metal mesh air outlet shape. With the adoption of the steering wheel gear shift, the control panel surface has become more simplistic, and all that is left are storage spaces. The upper layer provides a storage slot, a platform for placing a mobile phone, and a cup holder, while the lower part is a large storage space, which can even accommodate a woman's handbag.

Another major highlight is the seating space. Its rear space is very generous, thanks to its short front and rear suspension design, which makes the middle wheelbase very long and ensures ample legroom in the rear. In addition, the backrest of its front seat can be flattened. When the headrest is removed, it can be connected to the rear seat to form a whole, becoming a seat similar to those in the first-class cabin of an airplane. We can put our legs on the front seat and lean back on the rear seat to rest or talk. This small design may not be used frequently, but it is delightful.

Aion Y Plus is equipped with a motor and adopts a front-wheel drive mode. The maximum power of the motor is 150kW (201PS), and the peak torque is 225N·m. The power battery capacity of the 490 Elite model is 63.2kWh, with an acceleration of 0-100km/h in 8.5 seconds. The 550 Ultra model comes with a power battery capacity of 68.2kWh, with an acceleration of 0-100km/h in 9 seconds. Their cruising range is 490km and 410km, respectively.
