BYD Seal 06 GT is about to debut: a cruising range of 600km and a new pure electric GT choice

On August 23, BYD Ocean Network officially announced that its brand new pure electric mid-size sedan is named BYD Seal 06 GT, which will debut at the Chengdu Auto Show in China on August 30. The new car is built on the BYD e 3.0 Evo platform, adopts a new ocean aesthetic design language, and is aimed at the mainstream pure electric mid-size sedan market.

The official states that BYD Seal 06 GT will become the first GT created by the BYD Ocean Network to promote the development of the seal series in the directions of diversification and serialization, which is specifically for young consumers. In terms of appearance, BYD Seal 06 GT restores the design of the OCEAN-M concept car in many details. The front and rear light groups are updated with ocean elements as inspiration, simple yet highly identifiable.

The side of the car has a smooth roofline that corresponds to the through waistline, which shows the clear and bright body movement and brings a strong visual dive effect. The proportion of the entire car is slender, the posture is low, bringing a new ocean aesthetic visual enjoyment and highly conforming to the aesthetics of contemporary young people. In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the BYD Seal 06 GT are 4630/1880/1490mm, and the wheelbase is 2820mm.

In terms of power, according to the previous declaration information, the BYD Seal 06 GT will provide two power layouts of single motor rear drive and dual motor four-wheel drive. The single motor rear drive model provides two different power drive motors, with a maximum power of 160 kilowatts and 165 kilowatts respectively. The dual motor four-wheel drive model is equipped with an AC asynchronous motor on the front axle with a maximum power of 110 kilowatts; the rear axle is equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous motor with a maximum power of 200 kilowatts.

In terms of battery life, the new car will be equipped with battery packs with capacities of 59.52 kWh and 72.96 kWh, and the corresponding battery life under CLTC conditions is 505 kilometers, 605 kilometers and 550 kilometers (four-wheel drive).
