On August 6, according to the data from the General Administration of Customs compiled by the China Automobile Industry Association, in June 2024, the import of complete automobiles showed a slight increase year-on-year. The imports of complete automobiles in June were 61,000 units, a decrease of 2.5% month-on-month and a decrease of 2.4% year-on-year; the import amount was 3.53 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 4.7% month-on-month and a decrease of 6.3% year-on-year. From January to June in 2024, the import of complete automobiles was 332,000 units, a year-on-year decrease of 4.1%; the import amount was 18.64 billion U.S. dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 13.9%.
