It is reported that the entry-level model of BYD SEAL Dynamic is confirmed to be officially introduced to the Malaysian market by Sime Darby Beyond Auto dealer on September 6th. This signifies that Malaysia's best-selling electric car series will welcome a more affordable option, further lowering the entry threshold.

It is worth mentioning that BYD SEAL is expected to host a dynamic launch of BYD SEAL Dynamic at National Stadium from September 7th to September 8th, where the BYD SEAL Dynamic model will be unveiled and test drive opportunities will be provided.

Bcurrently there are two models of BYD Seal on sale in Malaysia, priced between RM 179,800 and RM 199,800. According to the current entry-level positioning and parameter difference of BYD SEAL Dynamic model, the price of this model will be lower than RM 179,800, and is expected to reach the price range of RM 160,000.

The power and torque of BYD Seal Dynamic, as well as its range, are relatively small. But it is equipped with the same motor as BYD Atto 3 Extended Range and BYD Dolphin Premium Extended Range (currently installed on the rear axle), still capable of outputting 204 PS (150kW) and 310 Nm of torque, realizing an acceleration score of 0 to 100 km/h in 7.5 seconds. In contrast, the acceleration time of BYD SEAL Premium model is 5.9s, and that of BYD SEAL performance AWD model is 3.8s.

In addition, the 61.4 kWh Blade lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery equipped in the BYD Seal Dynamic provides a range of 460 kilometers under WLTP conditions. In comparison, the 313 PS/360 Nm Premium model offers a range of 570 kilometers, while the more powerful 530 PS/670 Nm Performance AWD model is fitted with an 82.5 kWh battery pack, providing a range of up to 520 kilometers. In terms of charging, the BYD Seal Dynamic supports up to 7 kW of AC charging, can be fully charged in 8.6 hours, but the DC fast charge power is 110 kW, slightly lower than other models.

In summary, the entry of BYD SEAL Dynamic model into the Malaysian market will provide a more cost-effective choice for car owners who want to purchase BYD SEAL models, and will also bring fresh blood to the electric vehicle market in Malaysia.
