At the 2023 Bangkok Motor Show, GAC Aion's Hyper brand announced that its first pure electric SUV model, the Hyper HT, officially launched pre-sale in Thailand, with the highest price not exceeding 199.99 million Thai Baht.

The start of construction for GAC Aion's factory in Thailand marks an important step forward in its global strategy, which will help expand its Southeast Asian market and enhance global competitiveness. The factory is located in Rayong Province, part of Thailand's Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), which started construction on January 26 and planned to invest 2.3 billion Thai Baht. The factory has a designed capacity of 50,000 units per year and will be built in two phases, with the first phase scheduled to be completed in July 2024.

According to the performance data of the Hyper HT previously published in China, this model provides four versions with a cruising range of 600km, 650km, 700km, and 770km. Meanwhile, this model is equipped with a 250kW rear-drive motor, with its fastest 0-100 acceleration reaching 5.8 seconds, and a turning radius of 5.6 meters.

The car is equipped with wing doors that have a 2.3-meter opening height, which allows passengers to get in and out without having to bend over. And the doors can be easily opened and closed in narrow parking spaces, requiring only a 34cm horizontal space when opened, which better adapts to regular parking spaces. This car comes with 8 radars, providing all-around protection from every angle, with an automatic stop feature when obstacles are detected.

This model has a flexible space layout. After the rear seats are folded down, the maximum volume can reach 1802L to meet diversified loading needs. There is a hidden storage space under the luggage box cover, which can accommodate a 20-inch suitcase. In addition, the car is also equipped with a 55L front storage box, which can expand more storage space.

It is worth noting that this model is equipped with an L2++ level intelligent driving assistance system, which can achieve over-the-horizon parking calls and easily deal with complex parking scenes.
