Official images of the 2025 BYD Seal are revealed! Supported by laser radar, it will be launched on August 8th!

On August 2, Zhang Zhuo, general manager of BYD Ocean Line, released information and official pictures of the 2025 Seal on social media platforms. He revealed that the Seal EV retains the original name Seal, while the Seal DM-i is officially renamed Seal 07 DM-i, and it will be equipped with the fifth generation DM technology. In addition, Zhang Zhuo also revealed that the 2025 Seal added a Sky Purple exterior color. According to previous news, the new car will officially go on the market on August 8.
According to the official pictures, the 2025 Seal overall continues the current model design. The closed front grille shape with the e-shaped headlight group and the uniquely designed daytime running lights are quite characteristic and recognizable. The middle net of Seal 07 DM-i is decorated with horizontal lines to form a certain differentiation. The biggest difference of the new car is the addition of sky purple exterior color, which is quite high-end.

As for the body size, the length, width, and height of the current Seal EV are 4800/1975/1460mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2920mm. And the length, width, and height of the Seal 07 DM-i are 4980/1890/1495mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2900mm.

As for the interior, the official has not yet announced it. It is expected to continue the current model design, and mainly upgrades the configuration and intelligence. It will be equipped with a full-view skylight electric sunshade curtain, heated steering wheel, car-mounted fragrance and other luxury comfortable configurations. On the intelligence aspect, the 2025 Seal may become the first car equipped with a laser radar in the BYD brand. It is also equipped with BYD's self-developed advanced assisted driving system, reaching the L2+ level of driving assistance level, and high-level intelligent driving and city navigation functions will be further opened.

In terms of performance, the 2025 Seal is newly built based on BYD e-Platform 3.0 Evo technology. The entire series comes standard with SiC silicon carbide, an 800V high-voltage platform, and a twelve-in-one electric powertrain. It also has many BYD's globally innovative technologies independently developed. It is officially stated that there will be a significant improvement in power performance, electricity usage efficiency and charging replenishment.
In terms of the chassis, the 2025 Seal will use a front double-wishbone and rear multi-link independent suspension. The tuning has also been upgraded and optimized, which may be equipped with a Yunlen-C smart damping body control system. And the adaptability, stability, comfort, and handling of the overall chassis suspension will be further enhanced.
