[Pcauto] Recently, Red Bull Advanced Technologies officially unveiled the final design of its ultimate track weapon, the RB17 supercar.
This model, which has drawn much attention since its debut at the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed, has finally revealed its most extreme engineering form after freeing itself from all road regulations.
Rob Gray, Red Bull Advanced Technologies Technical Director, said: “The RB17 is a breathtaking project, and we cannot wait to see the completed car being fully enjoyed on the track by racing and automotive enthusiasts.”
RB17 equipped with Cosworth V10 engine
At the heart of the RB17's performance lies a meticulously crafted 4.5-liter naturally aspirated V10 engine by Cosworth. This high-revving machine has a redline of up to 15,000 rpm, delivering a staggering power output of over 1,000 horsepower.
The Red Bull Advanced Technologies team revealed that, based on its extensive F1 experience and advanced simulation technology, the theoretical simulation lap time target of the RB17 at the Silverstone Circuit is to challenge and even surpass current F1 cars.
This ambition is aimed directly at claiming the throne among top track-exclusive hypercars, such as the Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro.

RB17 Fully Evolved in Aerodynamics and Cooling
The exterior of the final version of RB17 has been precisely optimized. The brand new carbon fiber front splitter, integrated LED light assembly, and optimized airflow channels collectively enhance the front downforce and cooling efficiency.
The F1-style side vent gills, a roof-mounted shark fin, and a large adjustable rear wing work together in conjunction with the venturi tunnels underneath the car, forming an extremely efficient and complex aerodynamic system.
The layout of the exhaust on the engine hood has also been adjusted, aiming to optimize the sound and thermal management of the engine bay.

RB17 Possesses Pure Racing DNA
The cockpit interior embodies a pure racing style, equipped with a steering wheel integrated with numerous control functions and a large display screen for monitoring vehicle and track data.
The RB17 will be strictly limited to a production of 50 units, with each priced from £5 million, making it a genuine top-tier collectible.
It is worth mentioning that Lanzante, the renowned engineering company that successfully converted the McLaren F1 GTR into a road-legal car, has publicly expressed interest in providing road-legal conversion services for the RB17.
The expected cost will be substantial, but it will transform the RB17 into the ultimate toy potentially fit for road use.

From the original concept by legendary F1 designer Adrian Newey to the final realization by Red Bull's advanced technology team, the entire development process of the RB17 revolves around the word "extreme."
The RB17 is not only the pinnacle of Red Bull's F1 technology but also a bold exploration of the boundaries of track performance. When these 50 king-level racing cars are gradually delivered and hit tracks around the world, they will be writing a legend not only of lap times but also of engineering obsession.

Perodua Traz VS Ativa, which one is more worth buying?
Traz, as a newly launched mid-sized SUV, offers more spacious room and mainstream power compared to small SUVs, but its pricing appears slightly higher than that of Ativa. Perodua Traz VS Toyota Yaris Cross, where does the Traz fall short?
Before the official launch of the Perodua Traz, market expectations were actually very high because it shares the same DNGA platform as the Toyota Yaris Cross. However, sharing the same platform does not equate to the same experience, and the Traz's final performance has indeed been disappointing. Perhaps it is precisely because of the delayed launch that it has almost no competitiveness in the current competitive environment.
