Suzuki announces plan to reduce the weight of Alto by 15% within a decade to improve fuel efficiency

On July 17, Japan's Suzuki announced plans to reduce the weight of its small Alto hatchback over the next decade. The company stated that the current weight of the Alto is 680 kg, and they plan to reduce it by 100 kg, i.e. 15% of the weight.
suzuki pointed out that by reducing the weight of the vehicle, it aims to improve fuel efficiency and reduce emissions in order to meet the requirements of environmental regulations. In addition, the company also plans to apply these technological achievements to other models to achieve a wider range of energy saving and emission reduction effects.
