Tesla Cybertruck market encounters roadblocks: frequent Recalls, high-end range reduction

The market performance of Tesla's electric pickup Cybertruck has attracted widespread attention. Recently, the Tesla official website shows that the entry-level Cybertruck priced at $61,000 has stopped accepting orders, while the higher-priced $100,000 version can be ordered immediately and delivered as early as this month. This adjustment has led to speculation within the industry that the demand for Cybertruck may be less than Tesla's expectations.

Since its launch, Cybertruck has been in the spotlight. Tesla's CEO Musk ambitiously planned to produce 200,000 units a year. However, as the vehicle delivery approaching, some problems gradually surfaced. Firstly, the cruising range of the high-end Cybertruck is lower than the initial promotion, causing some consumers to favor the lower-priced entry-level models. Secondly, this year Tesla has announced multiple recalls of the Cybertruck, it involves issues such as acceleration out-of-control and windshield wiper malfunctions, which further affected consumer confidence.

A series of market feedbacks indicate that the market performance of Cybertruck is not as optimistic as expected. Tesla needs to carefully examine market demand and adjust production strategies to ensure that Cybertruck can stand firm in the fiercely competitive electric pickup market.
