Tesla Model Y Juniper is Coming Soon: The Next Chapter of the Tesla Electric Car Empire!
JohnNov 18, 2024, 03:01 PM
In 2023, Tesla sold over 1.22 million Tesla Model Y vehicles globally, making it the best-selling electric vehicle and continuing to be one of Tesla's most popular models.
Although Tesla has not yet announced specific plans for the new Tesla Model Y, CEO Elon Musk posted a video on his X account showcasing a camouflaged prototype of the new model. The video reveals more details about the car's front and rear light designs, and there are rumors that cameras are integrated into the front bumper for Tesla's full self-driving technology.

There are also rumors that Tesla's Gigafactory in China has started production, initially with a small batch of test vehicles, which will gradually scale up to full production. This suggests that Tesla may unveil the new Model Y later this year.
The Tesla Model Y Juniper is expected to feature interior updates, including a redesigned center console with two wireless phone chargers, improved armrests, and more storage space. The seats may also receive a new design, potentially with added cooling functionality, similar to updates seen in the Tesla Model 3. Notably, the Tesla Model Y Juniper may also adopt an entirely new steering wheel design, inspired by the Highland version, eliminating the stalks behind the wheel and integrating more functions directly into the steering wheel, keeping physical controls for the turn signals, lights, wipers, and voice assistant.

Reports indicate that the 2025 Model Y Juniper will receive significant high-performance upgrades, including improvements in battery capacity and charging speed. There are rumors that a new 96kWh battery pack is being developed, which could be used for the updated long-range and performance versions. The Tesla Model Y Juniper is expected to be announced in the fourth quarter of 2024 and will likely be released soon after as the 2025 model.
