Thailand Welcomes New Ducati Factory, with an Annual Capacity of 30,000 Units

On April 5, Mr. Dannarath, an advisor to the Minister of Industry of Thailand, represented the Thai government to attend the opening ceremony of the new factory of Ducati Motorcycle (Thailand) Co., Ltd.

Claudio Domenicali(CEO of Ducati Motor Holding), Marco Biondi(Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the Asia-Pacific region of Ducati Motor Holding), and Alberto Strada(General Manager of Ducati Motorcycle (Thailand) Co., Ltd.), warmly welcomed the guests in the factory located in the Amata Industrial City of Rayong Province, Thailand.

The new factory of Ducati Motorcycle (Thailand) Co., Ltd. has an investment totaling more than 1 billion Thai baht with an annual production capacity of 30,000 motorcycles. Moreover, Thailand is Ducati's biggest market in Southeast Asia.

Mr. Dannarath stated in his speech that the Thai government attaches great importance to the development of the automotive industry and has formulated relevant policies to enhance investor confidence, promote the development of automotive production technology in Thailand, meet the growing demand of domestic and foreign markets, and facilitate the establishment of factories by vehicle manufacturers in Thailand, which aims at making Thailand a future automotive production hub.

The Thai government pays close attention to the development of the automotive industry's supply chain, labor skills, and infrastructure, such as the National Automotive and Tire Testing Center (ATTRIC), offering testing and certification services at international standards. In addition, the Ministry of Industry of Thailand is committed to promoting industrial green development, encouraging factories to adopt environmentally friendly production and management methods and undertake responsibilities to society and the environment to achieve harmony between factories and communities.
