The 2025 BYD Seal hits the market, what is e-platform 3.0 Evo?

On August 8, the 2025 BYD Seal officially went on sale. The new car has launched four configuration models, and the price range is 175,800-239,800 RMB. The e Platform 3.0 Evo carried by the 2025 BYD Seal belongs to the upgraded version of e Platform 3.0, which features five major technology clusters, namely CTB overall vehicle safety architecture technology, twelve-in-one intelligent electric drive technology, intelligent wide thermal domain efficient heat pump technology, all-domain intelligent fast charging technology and intelligent motion control technology. Each of these technology clusters is further subdivided into multiple technologies.
1. The world's first CTB overall vehicle safety architecture technology cluster
Main rear drive safety power architecture: The safety buffer space in the front cabin increases by 100mm, and the frontal collision safety performance increases by 60%;
Front-mounted steering architecture: The anti-deformation ability of the passenger cabin has increased by 50%;
Internal skeleton type CTB safety architecture: The regional body strength is more than 60% higher than the industry;
New integrated vehicle safety architecture: The collision intrusion amount of the passenger compartment is less than 5mm, and the collision acceleration of the passengers can be as low as 25g.
2. The world's first twelve-in-one intelligent electric drive technology cluster
It includes a 23000rpm high-speed motor, efficient reducer, silicon carbide electric control, vehicle controller, battery manager, DC converter, on-board charger, high-voltage distribution module, intelligent boost module, intelligent lift flow module, intelligent self-heating module and energy management smart control system. It can make the highest efficiency of the electric control reach 99.86%, the system comprehensive working condition sales volume reach 92%, increase the cruising range by 50km and the extreme speed by more than 230km/h.
3. The world's first intelligent wide temperature range high-efficiency heat pump technology cluster
The 16-in-1 high-efficiency heat management integrated module: system loss reduced by 20%, heat management energy consumption reduced by 20%;
Intelligent dual-cycle battery direct cooling and heating technology: heat exchange performance increased by 20%, battery heat management energy consumption reduced by 25%;
Electric drive high-efficiency composite temperature control system: heat exchange efficiency increased by 40%, low-temperature waste heat utilization rate increased by 30%, and electric drive system continuous output power increased by over 40 kilowatts;
Energy management intelligent control system: accurate real-time control of heat, which is efficient and comfortable.
4. The world's first full-domain intelligent fast charging technology cluster
Intelligent boosting fast charging technology: the charging current of the 250A public charging pile can be increased to 400A, and the charging time of 10-80%SOC is shortened to 25min;
Intelligent end-point fast charging technology: 80-100%SOC charging time shortened to 18min;
All-scene intelligent pulse self-heating technology: the power battery heating rate is increased by 230%, the charging speed is reduced by 40% in extremely low temperature environment;
Intelligent boost fast charging technology: fully compatible with all public DC charging piles that solves the charging adaptation problem;
Intelligent dual-gun supercharging technology: dual-gun supercharging can achieve a maximum charging power of 500kW, and the charging time of 10-80%SOC is only 12min.
5. The world's first intelligent motion control technology cluster
It includes the new motion control architecture of the power chassis fusion, the iTAC and Super iTAC based on fusion control and the vehicle intelligent motion control center.
