Recently, it was learned from AION official that the second generation AION V will officially be launched on July 23. This car just came off the production line at the AION factory in Thailand. As a replacement model, the second-generation AION V is positioned as a new hard-bid SmartDrive SUV and built on the new first-generation AEP Pure Electric Digital Platform. It is equipped with the ADIGO 5.0 human-computer interaction system, high-level intelligent driving assistance system (Orin-X chip + laser radar) AI big model ADiGO SENSE and other functions, the starting CLTC range has reached 750km, and it can be charged 370 kilometers in 15 minutes.

On the exterior, the second generation AION V uses a new "ecological function" design language, which is co-designed by a global design team from Los Angeles, Milan, Shanghai, and Guangzhou. Its styling inspiration comes from the classic vitality totem—Tyrannosaurus rex, which brings classic and pure hard-bid genes to the extreme. From the whole vehicle model, the second-generation AION V uses hard lines with rectangular features, embellished with cyber dragon claw elements, and its dragon claw headlights are bright and distinctive, which has a high feature and recognition.

The car's side backbone waistline has a full mechanical sense. It is equipped with hidden door handles, and adopts a dual-color scheme to create a high-end visual effect. The silver roof rack with black wheel arches adds a sense of hard-core, which is very in line with the current consumer aesthetics.

The tail of the car is simple in design. It uses a vertical tail light layout, and the middle of the tail is also equipped with an AION letter mark. This is Eon's first product using the AION letter mark, which aims to increase the recognition of global users and further accelerate the globalisation steps of Eon.

In terms of body size, the official statement is that the second generation AION V has a length of 4605mm and a wheelbase of 2775mm. Thanks to the new generation of AEP pure electric digital platform, it adopts lean, modular layout, its axle void ratio reaches 37.8%, and the interior space increases by 20%, greatly improving the interior riding space and comfort.

For the interior design, the second generation AION V adopts a minimalist design style. It is equipped with a large-sized floating centre control screen, small-size LCD instrument panel and dual radiant multifunctional steering wheel, and adopts a surround gearshift mode. In addition, the new car also adopts a more luxurious two-tone scheme, and the materials used inside the car appear to have been greatly improved, which enhances the overall texture.

Moreover, the second generation AION V's seat is very thick with exquisite patterns. Combined with the official revelation that the new car will also use the 8-point massage SPA for the main and co-driver+the lady's reclining chair in the rear, it can achieve 137-degree adjustment, allowing rear passengers to find the most comfortable sitting posture that fits their spinal angle. The overall ride comfort is expected to be greatly improved.

In terms of other configurations, the new car will also be equipped with 9 Premium Belgian speakers tuned by master-level tuners, and an 8-inch subwoofer for a better audio-visual enjoyment. It also comes standard with VtoL external discharge function, three-mode four-control warm and cold refrigerator, etc.

In terms of the intelligent cabin, the second-generation AION V will be equipped with the ADIGO 5.0 intelligent driving interconnection ecosystem and incorporates the large AI model ADiGO SENS. Based on the careful training of Aeon's million car owner data, it can accurately identify and meet user's personalized needs with self-learning interaction logic and unlimited understanding ability. At the same time, it is also equipped with a 4-sound-zone voice interaction, can recognize multiple languages, super-humanized speech output.

Meanwhile, it will also carry a high-level intelligent driving system and adopts the intelligent driving solution with "BEV (pure electric vehicle) + OCC (occupying network technology) + Transformer (neural network model based on self-attention mechanism)". Equipped with Nvidia Orin-X chip, a high-thread lidar, 5mm radar and 11 cameras, it can achieve leading auxiliary driving capability in the highway and city sections.

In terms of power, the new car is built based on a 400V silicon carbide platform. It is equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous motor with a maximum power of 150 kilowatts, and equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery pack, the CLTC pure electric cruising range is 750 kilometers.

As the first global strategic model of AION, the second generation AION V shows strong competitiveness in terms of design, technology, configuration, and endurance. It not only meets the pursuit of young consumers for hard-core styling and intelligence, but also meets the needs of family users for space, comfort, safety and so on.
