On August 5, BYD officially released the 2025 Seal interior official picture. The new car has been equipped with the latest design of the family, with a more luxurious and minimalist style, and equipped with a new Sanding Coral interior color scheme. In addition, according to previous information, the Seal EV retains the original name, Seal, and will be completely refreshed in multiple dimensions such as intelligence, safety, and comfort. In addition, the Seal DM-i has officially been renamed Seal 07 DM-i, and will be equipped with the fifth generation DM technology. The two new cars will be launched together on August 8.

From the official pictures released this time, the 2025 Seal's interior adopts the latest family style design, and the style has changed from the previous individual sport to simple and luxurious. The biggest difference is the high-gloss black central control surface with a beautiful decorative pattern, along with the new Sanding Coral color scheme, which is even more delicate and high-end. At the same time, the new car is also equipped with a new four-spoke multifunction steering wheel, which has a distinct executive style, while the 15.6-inch adaptive rotating large screen, 10.25-inch full liquid crystal instrument, and crystal material gear shifting mechanism are preserved.
Furthermore, according to previous information, the new car will also upgrade the configuration and intelligence, and will be equipped with a series of luxury comfort configurations such as panoramic sunroof electric blinds, heated steering wheel, and onboard fragrance. In terms of intelligence, the 2025 Seal will likely become the first sedan of the BYD brand equipped with a lidar, and equipped with BYD's self-developed advanced driver-assistance system, reaching the L2+ level of driver assistance, high-level intelligence, urban navigation, and other functions will be further opened.

Looking back on the appearance, the 2025 Seal model generally continues the current model design. The closed grille design combines similar e-shaped headlights and uniquely styled daytime running lights, which is quite distinctive and recognizable. The grille of the Seal 07 DM-i is decorated with horizontal lines that create some differentiation. The biggest difference in the new car is the addition of a sky purple exterior color, which is quite advanced.

In terms of body size, the length, width, and height of the current Seal EV are 4800/1875/1460mm respectively, with a wheelbase of 2920mm; while the Seal 07 DM-i has a length, width, and height of 4980/1890/1495mm respectively, with a wheelbase of 2900mm.

In terms of performance and power, the 2025 Seal, newly built based on the BYD e-platform 3.0 Evo technology, comes standard with SiC silicon carbide, 800V high voltage platform and twelve-in-one electric powertrain. It is also equipped with a number of globally pioneering technologies independently developed by BYD, and its power performance, power efficiency, charging compensation will be significantly improved as officially stated.
Regarding the chassis, the 2025 Seal will adopt a form of front double-arm type rear multi-link independent suspension, and its tuning has also been upgraded and optimized. It might carry Yunzhen-C intelligent damping body control system. And the adaptability, stability, comfort, and controllability of the overall chassis suspension will be further enhanced.

The Seal07 DM-i will be equipped with the fifth-generation DM technology, offering two powertrain options, 1.5L and 1.5Ti. Among them, the 1.5L engine boasts the highest thermal efficiency in global mass production, while the brand new fifth-generation DM technology 1.5Ti engine is the first to be fitted on a car. It is stated by the official that both power systems will achieve substantial breakthroughs in endurance and fuel consumption.
In addition to technological innovations, the configuration of Seal07DM-i has also been upgraded, and the entire series will come equipped with a standard DiPilot intelligent driving assistance system. This includes ACC adaptive cruise control, AEB automatic emergency braking, ELKA emergency lane keeping assistance, and other Level 2 assisted driving features. Higher-spec models will also come with additional advanced smart driving features such as ILCA lever lane changing.

It is worth mentioning that the entire series of the Seal 07DM-i will be standard with Streamlight Grey interiors and will feature real aluminum trim to further enhance the new luxury feel of the cabin and satisfy the aspirations and pursuits of more young consumers for a high-quality driving and riding experience.
