This year, Thailand's CKD Ora Good Cat has sparked a new trend in the car market. The starting price of this electric car is THB 799,000. Compared with the fully imported version, it is nearly 30,000 baht cheaper, making it the first locally assembled ORA model in the ASEAN region. At present, all Ora Good Cats sold in the Malaysian market are imported from China with two models: 400 Pro and 500 Ultra, with prices ranging from RM 113,800 to RM 143,800.

Three models of Ora Good Cat are offered in Thailand, namely the entry-level Pro model, the mid-level Ultra model, and the top-grade GT model. The starting price for the Pro model is THB 799,000, for the Ultra model THB 899,000, and the GT model THB 1,099,000. Both the Pro and Ultra models have an all-electric cruising range of 480 kilometers (NEDC), while the GT model has a range of 460 kilometers (NEDC). In addition, this car is equipped with a locally sourced 57.7 kWh battery pack, which is replaced the imported 47.8 kWh and 63.1 kWh battery packs, thereby enhancing performance and endurance capabilities. Furthermore, Thailand's CKD Ora Good Cat has added a series of practical devices, such as a 50W wireless phone charger, a 3300W vehicle loading system, and semi-bucket seats in the GT model.

The Ora Good Cat 400 Pro and 500 Ultra models for the Malaysian market are equipped with a single motor device, which produces 143 horsepower and 210 Nm of torque respectively. The 400 Pro is equipped with a 47.8 kWh battery pack, with a cruising range of up to 400 kilometers, while the 500 Ultra is equipped with a 63.1 kWh battery pack, and has a longer cruising range, reaching 500 kilometers.

As before, the Malaysian Ora Good Cat comes with a 5-year/150,000 km vehicle warranty, and the electric drive system (high-voltage battery, motor, control unit) enjoys an 8-year/180,000 km warranty.
Overall, the Thailand CKD Ora Good Cat and the imported version of Ora Good Cat in the Malaysian market each have their advantages and features, whether it's performance, driving range, or configuration, they can all meet the needs of consumers. The advent of this electric car not only provides more choices for environmentally friendly travel but also brings new vitality to the car market.

Perodua Traz VS Toyota Yaris Cross, where does the Traz fall short?
Before the official launch of the Perodua Traz, market expectations were actually very high because it shares the same DNGA platform as the Toyota Yaris Cross. However, sharing the same platform does not equate to the same experience, and the Traz's final performance has indeed been disappointing. Perhaps it is precisely because of the delayed launch that it has almost no competitiveness in the current competitive environment.
