VinFast Enters the Thai Market and Cooperates with 15 Dealers at the Bangkok Motor Show 2024

The 45th Bangkok International Motor Show recently opened grandly, and Vietnamese car manufacturer VinFast appeared with various models that bring modern, intelligent, and green transportation solutions to Thai consumers: SUV VF 3; VF 5, VF e34, VF 6, VF 7, VF 8 and VF 9, covering from A-SUV to E-SUV markets, and also the electric pickup concept car VF Wild that attracted attention at its first appearance on CES 2024.

VinFast not only has a rich product line but also provides customers with reassuring guarantees with strong after-sales policies. All VinFast vehicles enjoy a 7-10-year warranty for the powertrain and an 8-10-year warranty for the battery, which is incomparable among electric vehicle brands.

On March 27, VinFast announced at the Bangkok International Auto Show that it had signed a letter of intent with 15 Thai dealers to establish a cooperative relationship, which marks its formal entry into the Thai market. In addition to the Greater Bangkok area, VinFast's dealer network will also expand to other major cities such as Chiang Mai, Khon Kaen, Ubon, Ayutthaya, and Chonburi, they bring the concept of sustainable transportation to the Thai people.

VinFast aspires to be a leading global electric vehicle manufacturer and has set ambitious global expansion plans. It will enter 50 countries in 2024 and provide high-quality electric vehicle products and services to global consumers.

In addition to key markets such as the United States, Canada, and Europe, VinFast is also actively expanding to Asian regions such as India, Indonesia, Thailand, and the Philippines, and accelerating the construction of electric vehicle manufacturing plants in the United States, India and Indonesia.

On March 29, 2022, VinFast and the North Carolina state government announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to establish VinFast's first North American manufacturing plant. The first phase of the project plans to invest up to $2 billion, creating thousands of jobs.

In early January 2024, VinFast and the Tamil Nadu government signed an agreement to invest $2 billion to build a factory on a 400-acre plot in the Thoothukudi (formerly Tuticorin) SIPCOT Industrial Park in Tamil Nadu, which creats 3,000 to 3,500 jobs at the same time.
