Within two weeks of listing, BYD QIN L and SEAL 06 DM-i accumulated over 80,000 new orders

On June 11, car expert Sun Shaojun posted that BYD's new orders should be booming during this Dragon Boat Festival (a 3-day holiday in China). He later posted that: the total new orders for BYD QIN L and SEAL 06 have exceeded 80,000 units. It is not yet clear whether the additional 80,000 units mentioned here are since the launch or during the Dragon Boat Festival period.
It's worth noting that Li Yunfei, the General Manager of BYD's PR department, revealed during a live broadcast that the order volumes for QIN L and SEAL 06 are very high, and they're hesitant to release the data for fear of causing industry shock. He also mentioned that the most important thing at the moment is to do a good job in the production and delivery of these two vehicles, as well as customer service.
BYD QIN L and SEAL 06 DM-i were officially launched on May 28, both introducing 5 different configurations, with a price range of RMB 98,000-139,800. Both models are positioned as mid-size sedans, with lengths reaching 4830mm, and both are equipped with the 5th generation DM technology. The fuel consumption of energy feedback is only 2.9L/100km, with a pure electric range of 80km and 120km optional, and a combined range of 2100km.
With a starting price of RMB 99,800, the Qin L and SEAL 06 DM-i have quickly caused a sensation in the market, topping the internet hot search list, and becoming the focal point of consumers' attention due to their advantages such as ultra-low fuel consumption, ultra-long range, and extra-large space. Numerous netizens have expressed their admiration: Not to mention the gasoline models of joint-venture brands, even the gasoline and hybrid cars of Chinese brands are affected at this price. Some netizens commented: at this price, BYD does not even spare its own QIN PLUS and DESTROYER 05, I guess they will have to rely on low-end models to increase sales in the future.
