On March 28, Yutong and CATL took the lead in the industry to launch a long-life battery with a 15-year and 1.5 million kilometer warranty, which will extend the life of the existing conventional products by nearly twice. Chinese bus manufacturer Yutong Bus established the first 10-year strategic partnership with CATL in 2012. And Yutong will use the long-life battery pack in its buses and heavy-duty vehicles.

On the same day, Xiaomi's press conference kicked off amidst widespread attention. Xiaomi SU7 comes in three versions: standard, Pro, and Max with prices of 215,900 RMB, 245,900 RMB, and 299,900 RMB respectively.

Regarding power batteries, the Xiaomi standard and Pro versions will use Shenxing batteries. The Xiaomi SU7 Pro comes with the Shenxing battery full-performance series with a high capacity of 94.3 kWh, and its cruising range can even reach up to 830 kilometers. This data stands out among similar models, fully demonstrating Xiaomi's technical strength and innovative spirit in the field of new energy vehicles.

In addition, the Xiaomi SU7 MAX  is equipped with a ternary Kirin battery with a capacity of 101 kWh and a range of 800 kilometers. Although it is slightly inferior compared to the Pro version, it still performs excellently among similar models.

In June 2023, CATL and Arun Plus Company Limited (Arun Plus) reached a CTP (Cell-to-Pack) cooperation agreement in Thailand with an investment of over 3.6 billion baht, serving Thai electric vehicle manufacturers and enhancing Thailand's potential as the production center of batteries in ASEAN. CATL will provide a CTP production line for Arun Plus and share knowledge and technology for the manufacture of CTP battery packs with Arun Plus.

The production line will be put into operation in 2024 with an initial capacity of 50,000 units per year, which will increase to 150,000 by 2030.
