In recent years, competition in Malaysia's C-Segment SUV market has become increasingly fierce. When choosing a car, consumers value both space practicality and have higher demands on intelligent configurations and performance. The 2018 Peugeot 3008 THP Allure, as one of the popular models in this segment, has attracted considerable attention with its unique design language, rich standard features, and balanced driving performance. This time, through a static experience and dynamic test drive, we thoroughly evaluate whether it can meet the daily needs of family users while providing surprises in the details.

From the exterior, the design style of the 2018 3008 THP Allure leans towards robustness and modernity. The front features Peugeot's family-style dotted grille, paired with sharp LED headlights on both sides, giving it high recognizability. The body lines extend from the hood to the rear, while the side waistline and chrome trim below add layers to the design. The 18-inch wheels also look dynamic. At the rear, the LED taillights adopt a lion-claw design, creating a striking visual effect when lit. The silver skid plate on the rear bumper enhances the SUV’s off-road vibe. Overall, the exterior design retains the ruggedness of an SUV while enhancing its fashion sense through detailed elements.

Sitting inside, the first impression is the sense of technology and material quality in the interior. The center console is designed to tilt toward the driver, with an 8-inch touchscreen located in the center, featuring clear operation logic and relatively fast response. The fully digital instrument cluster offers delicate display effects, and its display modes can be switched, making it convenient for drivers to view vehicle information. The seats are wrapped in leather with the front seats supporting 8-way electric adjustment and good lumbar support, ensuring comfort even on long journeys. In terms of rear space, the 2675mm wheelbase provides ample legroom. Passengers with a height of 175 cm sitting in the rear will find about two fists' worth of distance between the knees and the front seat, with plenty of headroom as well. The rear seats support a 60:40 split-fold, increasing the trunk capacity from 520L to an even larger space to meet daily cargo needs. In terms of features, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, rear air conditioning vents, keyless entry/start, and rain-sensing wipers are all standard, offering strong practicality.

In terms of power, the 2018 3008 THP Allure is equipped with a 1.6T turbocharged engine, delivering a maximum horsepower of 167PS and peak torque available at just 1400rpm, paired with a 6-speed automatic gearbox. During daily driving, it feels quite responsive at start-up, with abundant low-end torque. On city roads, the throttle responds quickly, and overtaking is relatively effortless. When switched to Sport mode, the transmission shifts more aggressively, and power output becomes more direct, suitable for scenarios requiring quick acceleration. As for fuel consumption, the official combined fuel economy is 7L/100km. In actual testing, city road fuel consumption is about 8.5L/100km, and highway fuel consumption is approximately 6.5L/100km, which aligns with expectations.

Regarding handling and chassis performance, the steering wheel is precise with minimal slack, providing sufficient confidence while driving. The suspension system uses a front MacPherson independent suspension, tuned for comfort. It effectively filters out small bumps on the road, and the vehicle body does not shake much when passing over speed bumps or rough roads, ensuring good ride comfort. However, body roll is slightly noticeable during high-speed cornering, which is a common characteristic of SUVs. In terms of noise control, the cabin remains relatively quiet under speeds of 80km/h, with minimal wind and tire noise. Once the speed exceeds 100km/h, wind noise increases slightly but does not affect normal conversation.

In terms of safety configuration, the 2018 3008 THP Allure performs outstandingly. Six airbags, ABS, vehicle stability control, lane departure warning, front and rear radar, and a rearview camera are all standard, providing comprehensive safety protection for passengers. During the test drive, the clarity of the front and rearview cameras was very high, and the guide lines were quite accurate, making parking easier for novice drivers.

Overall, the core advantages of the 2018 Peugeot 3008 THP Allure are its rich standard equipment, spacious interior, and balanced power performance. Compared with models in the same class, its interior technological feel and safety configurations are more competitive, with excellent value for money. It is suitable for families who prioritize practicality, technological features, and safety performance, especially those who frequently travel with family members. If you are looking for a C-segment SUV that balances family use with driving enjoyment, the 2018 Peugeot 3008 THP Allure is worth considering.

As the owner of the 2018 Peugeot 3008 THP Allure, after driving it in Malaysia for more than three years, the overall experience has been quite good! **In terms of performance**, the 1.6T turbocharged engine is more than adequate during Kuala Lumpur's morning rush hours. The throttle response is sensitive when driving at low speeds, and during overtaking sections on highways like the LDP, its 8.9-second acceleration completes overtakes with ease and without hesitation. The fuel consumption is about 7.5L/100km, slightly higher than the official 7L, but considering Malaysia's frequent traffic jams and the constant use of air conditioning, the performance can be considered decent. **The exterior** was one of the reasons I chose it back then. The floating roof design and claw-shaped taillights are highly recognizable in parking lots. Friends often say it looks like a small SUV and has more personality compared to cars of the same class. However, the paintwork is a bit thin. On a trip to Melaka, a motorcycle scratched it on the roadside, exposing the base coat slightly, which is a slight regret and makes me deduct some points. **The safety configurations** are very comprehensive. The six airbags, lane assist, and front/rear sensors were very helpful when parking in narrow alleys in Penang. Once, I had to brake suddenly during a rainy day on the North-South Expressway, and the stability control system stepped in, preventing any skidding, which made me feel very reassured. However, active braking is not standard, and it would have been perfect if it were included. Overall, this car performs very well under Malaysian road conditions and is suitable for daily family use!

As the owner of the 2018 Peugeot 3008 THP Allure, I've been driving it in Malaysia for almost five years, and overall, the experience has been quite satisfying. Let's talk about the exterior first. The claw-shaped headlights and the floating roof design have quite a high head-turning rate during traffic jams in downtown KL, especially at night when the LED lights are on, giving it a very recognizable look. However, if the rear design were a bit more rounded, it would be perfect. A score of 4 is just right. In terms of performance, the 1.6T turbo engine performs well under local road conditions. During rush hours in Kuala Lumpur with stop-and-go traffic, the maximum torque can be output at just 1400 RPM, making it light and quick for starting and overtaking. It also feels stable when driving at 120 km/h on the highway, though the gear shift occasionally responds a bit slower during sudden acceleration. All in all, giving it a score of 4 seems reasonable. The safety features are very comprehensive, with six airbags, lane departure assist, and front and rear parking sensors. One time, while driving around the island in Penang, I almost got sideswiped by a motorcycle, but the stability control system stepped in just in time to help me maintain my direction. However, if it had active braking, it would be even more reassuring. The safety performance deserves a score of 4, and I feel very confident with it.

Sure! Below is the translation: As the owner of a 2018 Peugeot 3008 THP Allure, after almost five years of driving in Malaysia, let’s talk about its performance first—giving it a score of 4 because I truly feel that it’s "sufficient and handy." On Malaysia's highways like the North-South Expressway, overtaking is often necessary. The 1.6T turbo kicks in early, reaching peak torque at 1,400 rpm, and when overtaking slow-moving trucks or MPVs, stepping on the accelerator gives an obvious sense of pushback. With a 0-100 km/h acceleration in 8.9 seconds, it’s also very agile in city traffic, especially during KL (Kuala Lumpur) rush hours—great for following cars or weaving through traffic. However, since it’s a 1.6T, when fully loaded with five people and driving up Genting while using the air conditioner, the power does get a bit weaker and requires a heavier foot on the accelerator. It’s not a big problem, but you can definitely feel it, which is why I didn’t give it a full 5 points. As for the exterior, it’s also a score of 4. Peugeot’s design really stands out on Malaysian streets! Especially with the "lion claw" LED tail lights, which have great recognition when lit up at night—it’s easy to spot your car even from afar in the Pavilion mall parking lot. The floating roof and sharp waistline also give it a very SUV-like presence. When a friend first rode in my car, they even asked if it was a "mini Land Rover." Its return rate is indeed higher than same-class Japanese cars. However, there’s a small regret—the range of body color choices is not very wide. I bought the white version, which is dirt-resistant but feels a bit ordinary over time. If there were more unique metallic colors, it would be better. Because of this, while I’m quite satisfied with the exterior, it doesn’t feel "perfect." Overall, this car performs quite steadily on Malaysian roads. Both its performance and appearance are commendable, making it very suitable for family use!

As the owner of a 2018 Peugeot 3008 THP Allure, having driven in Malaysia for nearly 5 years, my overall experience has been quite satisfying! In terms of performance, I would rate it 4 stars—The 1.6T turbo engine feels very brisk when starting off during KL’s morning traffic jams. The power responds promptly when overtaking, and it remains stable at 120km/h on the North–South Highway. However, it feels a bit sluggish when trying to accelerate past 140km/h on the highway, but it’s totally sufficient for daily use. The fuel consumption is about 8.5L/100km in urban areas and can reduce to 6.5L on highways. Although slightly higher than the official 7L, it’s reasonable considering Malaysia's road conditions. I would also rate the interior 4 stars—the i-Cockpit fully digital instrument cluster and 8-inch touchscreen provide a strong sense of technology. The piano key-style design on the central console feels exceptionally convenient to operate, though the piano lacquer surface is prone to fingerprints and requires frequent cleaning. The seats are made of genuine leather with good support, which ensures long-distance drives don’t cause any backaches. For my height of 175cm, the rear row space is just right, and it accommodates three adults comfortably without feeling cramped. Safety gets a solid 5 stars! It comes standard with six airbags, vehicle stability control, front and rear sensors, and a 360-degree camera. I remember one time in a narrow alley in Penang; the camera helped me avoid a motorbike that suddenly appeared during reverse parking, which gave me great peace of mind. What’s more, the 5-year/120,000 km warranty means there’s no worry when using the car in Malaysia. For appearance, 4 stars are well-deserved—the lion claw-style LED headlights and floating roof design often catch attention in the KLCC parking lot, with many people asking me what car it is. It has superb recognition! However, the white paint tends to yellow easily, so regular waxing and maintenance are necessary. All in all, this car is very suitable for driving in Malaysia, whether for daily city commuting or long-distance travel. It offers great value for money!

As the owner of a 2018 Peugeot 3008 THP Allure, I’ve been driving it for almost two years, and the daily usage experience in Malaysia is quite satisfactory. In terms of appearance, its design is highly recognizable, especially the lion claw headlights at the front and the floating roof style. Every time I park at the KLCC parking lot, I can spot it right away. However, sometimes I feel the body lines are a bit complicated, especially the rear part, which is unique but not to everyone's taste, so I’d rate it 4 out of 5. The safety features are reassuring, with six airbags and a body stability system, making it very stable on Kuala Lumpur's rainy and slippery roads. Last time on the North-South Expressway, I faced an emergency situation that required sudden braking, and the ABS responded quickly, avoiding an accident. However, it would be even better if it had autonomous emergency braking, so I’d rate the safety 4 out of 5. The interior has a good sense of quality. The fully digital instrument panel feels very high-tech, and the touchscreen in the center console operates smoothly. The leather seats are comfortable, especially the 8-way power adjustment for the driver’s seat, which makes long drives less tiring. However, the rear space feels a bit cramped for someone like me who is 180 cm tall, and the design of the rear air vents is somewhat simple. Overall, I’d rate the interior 4 out of 5. Overall, this car performs reliably under Malaysia’s road conditions and is suitable for daily family use.
