Overview of the Vehicle Series

The 2022 Perodua Alza is priced from RM 62,500 to RM 75,500, with variants including 1.5 X, 1.5 H, and 1.5 AV.

Power System

The Alza is equipped with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated engine, the same as the Aruz and Myvi but retuned for a 40% improvement in fuel efficiency and an increase in power, reaching 106 PS and 138 Nm. Its power performance is good, responsive, and equipped with a D-CVT gearbox for a smoother driving experience, and a power mode is also available. Perodua claims its fuel consumption under the NEDC test cycle is 5.2 litres/100 kilometres, with a single tank of fuel capable of covering approximately 826 kilometres.

Interior Configuration

For the interior, Alza focuses on basic features, is easy to access, and has a lower seating height.  The third row of seats can be folded down with one button, the space is spacious, and there are various seating modes. The boot space has been increased, up to 137 litres (when the third row of seats is in use), and 498 litres when folded. The interior features hard plastic materials, but the maroon interior of the AV variant makes it slightly more upscale. In addition, Alza becomes the first Perodua model to support Android Auto, the 9-inch infotainment touchscreen is responsive, and the 360-degree camera effect is outstanding.

Safety System

Alza is equipped with an advanced driving assistance system (ADAS), namely Perodua Smart Drive Assist (PSDA), which includes pre-collision warning, pre-collision braking, forward departure warning, etc. Adaptive cruise control with start and stop function is equipped for the first time by Perodua, and the AV variant also has lane keeping control and blind spot monitoring functions. In terms of passive safety, all variants come standard with stability control, anti-lock braking system and electronic brake force distribution, as well as six airbags, and AV buyers can also enjoy rear disc brakes.
